Cranking issues

You know when you were a kid and you would pretend you a had a machine gun. Well that’s how my truck sounds trying to start. Just changed the fuel filter and that didn’t solve it. Any other recommendations? Drivers fine just can’t seem to start.
And to add to it I got a service transmission cel. It did go away after I restarted it though.

Is the starter chattering or is it operating normally, but having to crank for an extended period before the engine catches?

If you cycle the ignition switch to RUN without depressing the brake pedal, can you hear the lift pump operating?

@Jocww does this have the HPFP recall done?​

Not getting fuel from the sound of it.

Tossing out ideas.
Losing fuel pressure after shut off? During start up. The fuel system has to repressurize.
Leads me to lift pump going bad?

Coolant temperature sensor bad not allowing with injectors to enrich during cold start? Used to be a common ford problem

i can hear it running and pressurizing the system. Did it after the filter change.

Listening to the video, the starter sounds normal to me but there is an extended crank issue, similar to what occurs when there's air in the fuel line after a fuel filter change. This would lead me to believe either it is a lack of fuel pressure/volume delivery from the HPFP during cranking for a normal quick startup, or for some reason the PCM/BCM controlled starter relays aren't disengaging in a timely fashion once the engine is running.

Are there any stored fault codes?

There was no stored messages. Before or after this happening. I went to have them look at the HPFP about 3 months ago. They did not change anything.

You changed the fuel filter? Did you prime the system before trying to start it?

This happened before I changed the fuel filter. I changed the filter because I thought it might be clogged
