I have a love hate relationship with this site. Never did I picture myself buying a roof top tent.

Someone recommend a decent set of cross bars now?

Keep in mind, I refuse to spend more than half of the $500 I spent on the tent on them.

In all honesty, I’ll probably end up selling this thing if it actually ships.

Damn, as others have mentioned, this was not on my agenda in the slightest, but a 72" RTT with cold weather insulation (interior and exterior) and an awning for $600 is crazy. Need to start shopping for bed racks.

If anyone has suggestions for bed-rack and/or roof rack (although I'd prefer to stick to bed-rack only if possible) that would work with the 72" Pioneer and 180 degree awning. I am looking for recommendations.

For those looking for racks, I'll just throw out there that the BillieBars have served me extremely well. Using the short set, I set my own tent height by ordering and bolting together additional pieces of extrusion. I also made it all removable.

Picked up the XL Pioneer. Can this be mounted to the roof of a hardtop Gladiator? If so, anyone know a good rack? Or must I get the bed rack? I use the bed of my truck often so I prefer not to have any racks or anything else blocking capacity.

A roof top tent was way way down on the list of things I was going to buy for this truck so I am ill prepared LOL. I have no idea how to mount these things.

I just got off the phone with them and ordered the 72inch tent since it was the only one left in stock besides the XL. They said I would need a full size rack so it can clear the top of the cab or hang over the back of the bed. Since I am planning on getting the Rebel Offroad Full Size I wasn't too worried about it. I would have preferred the medium size but at $390 I can live with a little bit of an over hang for a little while. Definitely wasn't on my list to get this morning but got the tent, 280 degree awning, insulation and couple other things for $750 shipped to my door. Not to bad. Now I just need the rack.
