Long shot, but does anyone have a pic of the Grey 87" on the jeep and open?

Much thanks to OP! This type of setup wasn't even on my radar but ended up with the 72" with an awning. I'd prefer to build it out on a trailer but testing things out with some inexpensive Harbor freight rack actually fits great with the annex. Bonus with the tall rack, I can still fit a little mini chopper with the tailgate closed.

Just opened mine. Ehhhhh. Box looked great after opening when I took delivery, now looking inside behind the mattress it’s completely bent in multiple spots.

Ready for surf fishing tomorrow, slid awning in on side six inches, had to cut my bars also slid front so it looks to be that if it is raining with lift gate under should be dry, doesn’t look bad and rack is lockable on and easily removable with no tools going to figure something in garage under the doors to hang it on, with cables perhaps it is not too heavy including the rack maybe 55lbs.
Oh yes even though they give you enough bolts to but six on each bracket the middle slots were off about 1/4ā€, had to take it of again just use four!šŸ¤Ŗā€¦ā€¦.Jack

What brackets are those that you used to mount the awning?

If anyone is feeling bad they missed out on this… I still have mine in the box. $550 takes it locally and I’ll drive up to 2 hours one way from Vegas in any direction for $550 + top off my tank of gas.

Anyone running this tent in the winter? How’s it holding up? Any issues in general with the product?

Just curious. Pics always appreciated.

I will absolutely be cold-weather camping. I got it all: the big tent, the annex, interior insulated liner, exterior weather cover, and a Vevor diesel heater (after watching Project Farm's review video). But I haven't found the time.

I can talk about the durability, though—because I've dropped this motherfucker in different ways about a dozen times while figuring out storage and mounting solutions šŸ˜…. First, it was a few impacts directly to the bottom from cheap car stands. Nothing showing but 2-3 minor dents. Then it was pressure from chains directly onto the c-channels (hundreds of pounds of pressure). There was some minor bending to the channel that will reform easily with a flathead and some elbow grease.

FWIW, I can't wait to show my lifting/mounting solution (it's far more complicated than it should be) My storage solution (which was going to be suspended at the ceiling) is now just upright on the ground against the wall.

TL;DR: I can tell it's super sturdy even before leaving the house with it.

C-channel damage, due to pressure from chains lifting it up.

Sweet. I won’t be doing any camping THIS winter since my son is still just a few months old. Next winter should be good though. I need all the prep and creature comforts I can find so the wife approves the trip šŸ˜‚.

I got the 72ā€ with the extended fly so mounting should be interesting lol. Luckily I live right next to a CapWorld so worst case I’ll have it put on there this spring. I can get it in and out of my bed myself but onto the roof would certainly be dicey.

87ā€ was way bigger and heavier than I thought. Had to swap to 6.5 spring from 4.5. It’s pretty even now though. It was fairly sketchy getting it up there alone….

Looks less sketchy than my backing up to a hill. Definitely more planning on your execution haha.
I’m in the middle of moving but plan to put a hoist for topper or tent etc in my new garage. Going to look at property this weekend…5 bay garage. I don’t even care about anything else at the house 🤣🤣
