Now that's creative.
I ordered them, I haven't had the split issues but I have noticed some additional icing in the lower left/right corners and interested to see if these will alleviate that issue (the other option is just reaching out and wiping it off, but I'd prefer the defroster to do it's job).

Yeah, getting out when in commute traffic on I80 to clear ice off isn't real convenient.
We'll see how the "squares" work but I do like the printed solutions as well, too. And it looks like something a Jeep owner may come up with. (that's a compliment, by the way)

any idea how it mounts there? Some of my plugs actually fly out from time to time because of the amount of blow action.
If she's got that kind of "blow action" she's a keeper.:involve:

this issue is a well known design flaw for both the JT and JL.. aside from aftermarket solutions, there is not enough hot airfllow to the outer edges of windshield. This becomes very much an issue when driving through freezing precipitation on the hwy

I think you can override the dual-zone in the settings. I think I remember something about the Driver overriding the passenger.

I like the dual-zone...just seems silly when the defroster needs to kick in though.
you can sync zones in "climate" page but if passenger adjust form their zone it cancellers the sync.
