Received this notice on my cluster. Mobil 1 0/20 with Mopar Filter had 2559 miles on it and was at 4 1/2 months. Two previous oil changes were done with 5000 miles and 53% oil life still and next one 6 months approx later with same 5000 miles had 36% oil life left. 40% of driving to the airport and back approx 30 minutes each way at highway speeds. Balance is city driving. Says on the Jeep App that once oil is changed, it will reset itself. Has not done that yet and have driven approx 40-50 miles. Anyone else had this and if so, how can I reset it. Will not let me reset like a regular oil change.
I did send in an oil sample to Blackstone today and will post results once I receive them.

Yeah, that is wrong.

Oil Life Reset

1.Without pushing the brake pedal, place the ignition in the ON/RUN mode (do not start the engine).
2.Navigate to "Oil Life" submenu in "Vehicle Info" in the instrument cluster display.
3.Push and hold the OK button until the gauge resets to 100%.

Secondary Method For Oil Change Reset Procedure

1.Without pushing the brake pedal, place the ignition in the ON/RUN position (do not start the engine).
2.Fully press the accelerator pedal, slowly, three times within ten seconds.
3.Without pushing the brake pedal, place the ignition in the OFF/LOCK position.

The notice from the app will reset after the truck is reset to tell it the oil change was done.

The reset is done using the arrow keys on the center display. It has to be in the Run position, with the engine not running, to do a oil life reset.

It doesn't allow to do the reset the normal way. Tried multiple times and you cannot get to the % screen.

See my reply to Hootbro. Normal reset does not work. I do appreciate the suggestions.

Then you need a Dealer visit to find out what is wrong with it.
I had another issue with my 8.4 screen showing some funky things like measurements in metric, and Hootbro suggested giving it time to reset. He was 100% correct and hoping the same thing will happen with this.
Kind of weird that no one else has had this issue happen to them. I googled the description and nothing came up.
I will post the results from the oil test once it arrives. Not certain what the turnaround time is for Blackstone. I'm wondering if I have a fuel injector issue that is dumping fuel in the oil. I smelled the dip stick but didn't notice a fuel smell and the oil looked good for the miles driven.
Once again thanks for all the comments.

You could try a system reboot and see if it helps (disconnect both batteries for about ten minutes). The head unit will take up to 24 hours to fully recover.

The head unit and center cluster both get their data from the on-board computers, but have no direct connection to each other that would affect operation.

From your original description, it appears that the oil life monitor was not reset after each oil change. This will lead to reported problems that don't actually exist. The computer doesn't know the oil has been changed unless it is told (monitor reset).

There has either been errors leading to your current situation, or there is a problem with the vehicle that is preventing the oil monitor reset.

Yes. Might be time to take in for a test. I like the thinking out of the box...
The life expectancy of the batteries in these is about three years. If they are not driven enough daily to keep them charged, the lifespan decreases. Weak batteries can cause odd issues.
