Did the previous owner install the wrong lift on my 2022 Willys?

I absolutely do not want a racecar feel, but I also don't want a couch.
Our roads here in Tahoe are so awful. Typical California roads. Potholes everywhere and never fixed. And when fixed, it's done poorly.

Good news on the drag link thank you
Falcon 2.1 shocks are digressive. That's great for heavy off roading, but on the road it makes imperfections, small bumps, pot holes, etc feel more severe.

So I called Readylift and yes that is the lift I have. That part number is the coil that comes with it. Strange that theres nothing when doing an online search, but whatever.
Next I will be looking to soften the shocks. (any suggestions that don't break the bank?)
Rancho?
I will also upgrade the dampener. I put an upgraded Gabriel on there, but prob should have gone to a more heavy duty one.
Also take to an alignment shop to check caster, toe, etc...

With my setup, what tire pressure would yall run for daily driver? I am running 34 on all 4

Thanks all
Gabriel is fine for the steering stabilizer. The steering stabilizer is not a very crucial part.

For your tire PSI, sorry if I missed it, but what size tires?

I like fox 2.0s if you are looking for a decent linear shock that isn't too pricey. You really just want something linear or progressive to absorb the smaller impacts better vs digressive which take big hits better but worse on the small stuff.

With my 5100's crossing the railroad tracks by the house at 50 MPH feels great.

Hitting a pot hole or a ridge in the road feels like I welded the axle to the frame 🤣

The Rancho 9000s seem appealing due to the adjustability. I just can't seem to find a proper length.
The Falcons on there are approx 27.5 at full extension. Seems a bit short since the mounting holes are approx 24.5.
Doesn't seem like enough travel there.
Am I wrong in thinking that?

You are right. You want enough shock so that the suspension can flex adequately, but not so much that the springs try to pop out of their perches.

Here is a 27" for the front.

26" rear.

That about it for budget adjustable shocks. I'm sure some other folks could chime in with other options, adjustable and non.

But ultimately it sounds like you may want a shock that is not digressive in nature. You should be able to find that info for any shock out there.

I was looking at that 067, but that shortens the travel even more.

I see a 5000 model that is .5 inches longer than what I have, but I don't want to cheap out too much.

I just started a conversation with Carbon about their shocks for Gladiators. I couldn’t find them on the site, but they said they do make them for Gladiators based on preferences of the purchaser. I’ll let yall know how that progresses. Theres a lot of information on the site as well if anyone just wants to improve their knowledge base on the subject.

Hi all.
Just wanted to give a quick update.
Ordered some new shocks for the front and rear.
Skyjacker Black Max for the rear.
MetalCloak reds for the front.
Nearly all of the vibration and shimmy is gone.
Doesn't ride like a brick anymore.
I ordered a heavier duty steering dampener. I know some said it is not needed since I put in the Gabriel. If I don't notice a difference, I can return it.

Thank you all who chimed in. This is a fantastic forum.
Sorry I accidentally started another steering wobble question. I know it is asked about a lot. I was confused with my setup.

Glad you got it figured out. Hope you have long life on your shocks. That’s what this forum is for. Information may be repeated but things change year to year and even month to month on stuff like this.

It doesn't hurt to have mutiple threads about the same subject. The really long threads are hard to get through with so many pages of posts to read. It is difficult to be sure you're not repeating something someone else said 50 posts before, and those long threads often veer off the subject. Plus, not every problem is exactly the same and not every solution is exactly the same.
