It does make sense that it would slowly fade away. All things do. The EV market is expanding, and that makes sense.
Yeah but I dont know that the EV market expanding is a valid reason to get rid of diesel. It would make more sense to me to see diesel fading out because of increased fuel prices compared to gas, or the continued problems they are having. Not sure of other places, but in my little town, for the past 9 months or so, diesel has actually been 2-3 dollars per gallon more expensive than gas, and all the 'civilian' fill up's are still blocked off, so commercial trucks only. It's pretty crazy. EV won't ever fully take over. There's just not way, maybe in 50 years... Currently, north of me by a few hours in Flathead there are over 6,000 people without power with temps of -25. If they can barely sustain electric power to keep people from literally dying, I dont see how wide spread EV's is feasible until there is rework of the power grid, and likely require more coal plants, or a return of nuclear.

I mean I even had to let my TJ and JT run yesterday for a couple hours just to warm up the batteries so they would take a charge and stay topped up overnight.

It is a shame though because for as long as I can remember folks wanted a factory diesel jeep SO bad. Not long ago the 4BT swap was a pretty popular thing. Unfortunately all the new regulations kinda made it difficult. As much as I balk at the regulation side of stuff it still does amaze me what these engineers are able to come up with and how fast they are able to do it. Possibly they might be working on a new version of the diesel?

You are correct. I followed up with the Sales Manager at my dealer because a friend was asking about the diesel. Sure enough, Sales Manager said he was misinformed by Jeep. As of yesterday, the statement from their regional sales rep is that they are extending diesel option availability to November 2023. Of course, that too is subject to change!...
Sounds like they're getting read to roll out something new.

I’m not sure this is on every JT. I was looking to order the Diesel Mojave, and Dealer said it wasn’t available to order. Could still order the JTRD or JTWD if desired. I ended up buying the 2022 Willy’s off the lot for a deep discount.

NM then. Relied too much on the dealer explanation.
Dealers know absolutely nothing about the products they sell.

I remember when I bought my GT500, the dealer said he had 1 in stock - I asked which options it had ( very few - Nav, HID lights etc were available )

"Well, it's got the V8 engine, stick shift"

Yeah, they all do dickweed.

Per my previous update to my original post (above), my dealer told me that the diesel option in the Gladiator has been extended to November of this year. This is subject to change based on available engines/uptake. Additionally, the diesel has never been available in the Mojave which your dealer should have known.

But he said this - so the dealer was right - IF this was REALLY what the dealer said:

and Dealer said it wasn’t available to order

Yes, that's 100% correct, so what's the problem here?

Per my previous update to my original post (above), my dealer told me that the diesel option in the Gladiator has been extended to November of this year. He may have known - look what the dealer told him - is this NOT correct? I see it as no problem if this is what the dealer said -

and Dealer said it wasn’t available to order

Did the dealer tell him it would be available later or that it was available earlier?
According to his statement, the dealer said correctly and honestly "isn't available to order".

So again, where's the problem here? The dealer was correct! It wasn't available to order. Does the dealer have to explain more?

Or are you responding to a prior post? Everyone seemed to be quoting Cwg33. His dealer was correct.

Easy does it fella. No one is saying there’s a problem here. Just a clarification.

Not hating. Just didn’t research that Mojave was never available as I didn’t look for that diesel previously. Inquired while talking about ordering, but decided on lot JT. Met all the minimums I had for a Gladiator diesel when trading my JL.

Someone mentioned that the sales was stopped because of the fuel pump recall.
I figure it was because the government pressure to get all car makers to go with Electric Junk.
