Diesel no longer available to order!

Well, the diesel light’s a-flickering…..it’ll soon be out. If not definite now as I was told by my dealer, then my money is during MY23.
502 miles and I’m absolutely loving this engine AND truck.

The diesel is the only reason I settled on 4 doors. Why someone would settle on an underpowered, underwhelming engine (3.6) is beyond me. A vehicle should excite you when you press the go button.

Seems like alot of you are regretting your diesel purchase. Not me. Love it. Been flawless over a yr of ownership. On 37's to boot. Many long mile trips. No overheating. Nothing. Great gas mileage and best of all. POWER and TORQUE. Keeping mine.

Amen. More than 50K now, and not a single issue. Now with 37s on the corners I'm still averaging 21 mph and hitting 25 mph on the highway. Getting set to embark on a big circle of the country, and I'm not feeling a single doubt.

Loving ours and I think they will have let the EcoD Wrangler & Gladiator program run as long as possible given market conditions. It was a pretty bold move back in 2021, glad we got a few years to get ours.

I know some folks have had issues but I'm so grateful they had the gonads to mash this motor into the Wrangler & Gladiator. The majority of the specimens out there will surely be enjoyed for years to come. It's a special animal for sure.

Not to belabor the point but the writing is on the wall. They already took the diesel out of the Grand Cherokee, Wrangler and Ram 1500. The Gladiator was last to receive it and last to lose it. Get ‘em while you can. But again, my dealer told me it’s too late….they’re done.

No regrets, but would take a Hurricane gas engine on the frozen tundra I live in…. But until then, sticking with the 3.0 for the torque and zoom zoom. ?

If it wasn't for the diesel engine, I wouldn't have ordered a Jeep. It's just gutless without it.

Most of us frequent both sides of the discussion. I keep a keen interest on the diesel side of things having owned them in the past. It's just unfortunate when a genuine discussion turns into "diesel best, gas worst" and the topic gets lost, but it happens a lot. And it happens in the 3.6 gas section too.

Couldn't agree more. Took mine to Moab and it did 80 to 85 the whole way, including over the Rockies, without breaking a sweat. Plus, wheeling it is awesome (aside from the fuel filter skid--stupid design). Engine is just way better than the 3.6 I had in my old Jeep.

Agree the diesels a POS.. It's gonna be around for maybe 2 more years then poof.. everyones gonna have this overly complicated, expensive, proprietary brick on there hands..

I would never have bought a gladiator if it didn't have the diesel. One bright spot is if it is indeed discontinued now or soon; our resale value should stay strong.
