diff time- can you confirm this is correct?

Im over 20k so its time to change the fluids in the front and rear diff.
I have a 23 rubicon The window sticker say i have tru- lock front and rear.
Im looking at the ARB diff covers for the m210/220 (are these pretty decent? They look beefy as hell, bonus -drainplug!)
from reading this forum and some youtube it looks like i need 75/90 fluid? I have never towed, dont plan to. MAy off road in the future once im comfortable with my build. SO i dont need the 75/140...plus it bets below zero here so yeah.

anything i missed ? Besides the can of parts cleaner to spray off the gears i mean lol.

Inspect your locker sensor for oil intrusion, just one small Torx screw holds it in. Pull it off the sensor magnet and clean the magnet off. If you forget the cleaning the magnet, the responsiveness of engaging and disengaging your locker will slow down and eventually stop working.

As long as the owner's manual doesn't specify 75W-140 for the rear axle, 75W-85 (or 75W-90) is correct for normal driving. There are folks who use 75W-140 on both axles for increased durability. This is also fine, but gas mileage will be a bit lower.

Keep this in mind, some aftermarket track bars and sway bars do NOT play well with some aftermarket diff covers.

a big reason i went ith ARB versus the thicker ones out there. its beefier but not as big as some out there.

The table in section 1.3 of Links to Prices is a list of several gear oil options. My pick is AMSOIL Severe Gear, but any product listed in the table will work.

RockAuto rates many products on a good/better/best basis, but they do not have such a rating on gear oil for the Gladiator. Also, their gear oil options are almost entirely limited to Valvoline.

If Valvoline just ranks as a good, the package and delivery system kick it up a spot or two.

Big difference between leaky pumps and a squeeze bag.

Remember, it’s not the bolt you remove, it’s the one single Torx screw is all that pins it there. Once Torx screw removed, the sensor is held in place by the pull of the magnet. You’ll figure it out when pulling it off the magnet.

The gear oil I use is MOTUL 300 75/90. It’s done very well for me and my analysis reports look very good.

i haven't seen them directly though as I Understand it line up the covers and cut a line in the dipstick to mark factory level?
what am I Looking at for fluid capacity? Cant find much info. im guessing about 1.5 quarts each pumpkin?

Pretty much this. Their printed instructions show how to do it. Quadratec has a Youtube video on it also.

Roughly it is a little over one quart for the front and 1.5 quarts for the rear. I would account on having 4 quarts on hand though to be safe with the ARB covers as they supposedly hold a bit more than factory fill

DO NOT USE BRAKE CLEANER! Brake cleaner WILL degrade the plastic on the locker sensor! You will end up replacing the locker sensor.

75w90 is find. I use it. Mobil 1 is what I use.

Put a mark on the axle housing where the oem cover fill is. When you install the new covers. Fill up to that mark, and mark your new covers to that mark.
