Hi everyone, I want to disable my start / stop with one of those inline relay plugs similar to what I used on my Subaru. Does anyone know which ones work on a 2020 Gladiator Rubicon? I don't want to disable it by the hood pin or disconnect the aux battery that I have seen on the forums, thanks!

By looking at the forums, you'll also find the Tazer mini.

Disconnecting the Aux Battery does not disable ESS.

Depending on your plans, you can purchase the Auto Stop eliminator or Tazer if you need to do more. Read up on the Tazer and see what it does and if it can serve your needs.

There must be a reason that you want to install an Auto stop eliminator. It doesn’t fix a battery problem if that is your goal. If you have an issue, fix that first before adding a device.

turn on the climate control. ac and heat will do it. keep fan above medium. No start stop. IDK Honestly if ac off fan cranked will do it.

test it, open the start stop screen. crank the fan and watch it say "start stop disabled. Cabin heating or cooling"6

I'm personally baffled by people's obsession with auto start stop.
On occasion I've turned it off but it has NEVER bothered me.
5% fuel saving - why not.

These start/stop elimination device threads always get this type of comments.

It is called choice. One chooses for their own reasons and none of them have to be practical or make sense to you, just to the person wanting it.

Tazer remembers the last setting and has a bunch of other stuff you can enabled / disabled / adjust. I bought it to remember auto start is disabled every time I crank it up but having it not annoy me when deer hunting I didn't put my seat belt on to move up the road 100 yards is great along with being able to push the menu button twice and flip on the front camera to see if my winch is going to hit someone when I pull in a parking spot. Lots of goodies in that upgrade, highly recommend.

Well, if you have the diesel (and it looks like you do) The manual say to let it cool down before shutting off the engine to allow your turbo to cool a little. As soon as your engine shuts off, the oil flow in your turbo also stops, and can cook in a hot turbo. I believe the advice is to allow your turbo temp to drop below 400f before shutting down (I have a scanguage2 to see the turbo temp on mine). This is mentioned in the manual (though it give cooldown times rather than turbo Temps).

If auto stop/start is happening, the cool down period isn't happening.

Now, it may work forever without issues, but I disabled my auto stop/start for this reason.
