My recall was done, no metal from my last pump. No change in driving experience, sound, feel, or anything else from the new pump. Hopefully they changed something in the new pump so that it isn't nearly as prone to failure and we can put this issue in the rear view.

Came back from the dealer today. I don't understand why they needed it in the first place, as they told me they would place me on the waitlist and call me back for the service. Depending on what they find, they'll do another inspection at the time of service (??) and will order other parts. It does not make any sense to me why not do the inspection now if the whole point of this appointment was to do the inspection. I'll change my oil and fuel filter tomorrow anyway, so we'll see if I have any chards in the filter or not. It's frustrating that I have to spend $100 in Uber because they don't give any loaners and don't do any work there, so I drop the car and get it back the next day from them to tell me I'm on a waitlist, and nothing happened lol. @JeepCares if you maintain a book of clumsy ways of doing business, I have a candidate for you.

The service writer was most likely unclear because he did not know about the service or did not understand what the tech told him. But anyways, if they didn't inspect the truck this time and just put me on a waitlist for the pump, they could just have ordered the pump or put me on the list without me leaving my home? Something about "we need to check against your VIN etc," confused me because everyone I interact with there has my files and, thus, knows my VIN. Weird.

27 days on the dealer lot for me… no parts available yet, jeep wave won’t issue enough to cover a rental of like vehicle.

I’ve been working with the GM and may have a loaner coming next week. Really hopeful because my wife is due in the next several weeks.

I am taking delivery of my gladiator soon, and I had asked for them to perform the recall before I picked it up, and they just sent me this screen shot. The salesman says it’s been done he thinks. I called the service department in late October to ask about it and they said to take it as is, and they would perform it at a later date.
Looking at the screenshot, I would say it was done on November 1st correct?
Thanks
Clarence

Almost the same deal with mine........if the recall was completed there is supposed to be a recall label placed beside the existing emission sticker under the hood(this is directed as part of the recall service bulletin)

My Jeep Gladiator arrived dealership on the 16th of October. However I was not able to pick it up(until 4 Nov) due to a lag in information on the 01A recall..... the system updated at the end of October and said my jeep had the recall completed on 1 Nov...by who we don't know or what day.

...but for my gladiator there was no safety recall sticker under the hood (the Recall Addendum to the manual, the Diesel fuel tip card, and the B5 sticker Placed for the fuel door were there in the list of documents)and nobody can tell me the exact date the recall was completed. The date listed in the system is incorrect because it was sitting in a parking lot from 16 Oct 2023 until 3 Nov 2023. The Service Dept. did not order parts and only moved it on the day they cleaned it up and did the Safety inspection prior to my pickup on Sat 4 Nov. They were like hey we didn't do anything to your vehicle but the system says we can release it to you.

My next step is to pull the pump cover off and look for the part number. Jeep Cares......... had no clue..... I know mine was in the middle of being built before the recall happened/shut everything down and then UAW decided to leave the plant right when the recalls would have been completed.... Dealership said they will order parts if they find out it was fat fingered, but you would think someone would document this somewhere other than to say it was done.

Put two ounces of EDT in it on day one and one ounce in the next tankful. Only at 592 miles as of today

Interesting. It all seems very weird. My gladiator left the storage lot on October 28th. After that they say they don’t know where it went. Then I called my salesman and specifically asked for him to ask his service department to perform the recall once it got to them. He texted me back with that screen shot, showing it had already been completed November 1st. Huh. Weird. I thought it was in transit. Few days went by and I asked him if it was on its way, and then he says his computer shows it sitting in Ottawa. So nothing is really jiving and leads me to believe it wasn’t done, possibly like yours. It’s kinda why I posted that screen shot in this thread because the OP is a tech and he may have been able to shed some light on it for me.
I called the salesman today, and again he tells me it’s in transit, but not sure where.

Just over a month for me on the dealer lot. I did get a loaner though yesterday! Which I’m super thankful for….

Jeep wave told me each dealership is getting 1 per (parts / lines / prints) month….

I’m still expecting 3-7 months on the lot for repair.

I will say the Mojave they lent me is very nimble on its toes, and the ride is nice with the upgraded shocks.

Glad it is kinda working out for you. I’ve been following what you’ve gone through. Tough. But, maybe things are looking up!!

Does anyone know if the Gladiator computer gets updated during the HPFP recall? When I picked mine up thier diesel mechanic wasn't there, the service manager assumed it was flashed but couldn't say for sure.

There is no PCM updates required for the Z96 (HPFP replacement) recall.

The pump lines, seals, and pump are replaced with the addition of a few stickers.

Mine has been on the dealer lot for almost 40 days now.

Hoping for progress!

Hell yes!

My recall is complete! The tech was super nice and showed me all the parts, and I got to see them finishing up the install of the pump, lines, etc.

Feels so good to be back in my truck!

Next week our kiddo arrives as well!!!

As far as the way it runs = exactly the same as it did before!

The only thing I notice is the sound it makes when shut off is a little more ‘buzzy’

They did pull the fuel control actuator when I was in the shop (at my request). It was mostly clean. A few specs but nothing like a complete failure, but it certainly was in process of failing.

After driving the 3.6 and jumping into the 3.0 I can really feel the difference.

The 3.6 honestly is better in the city, especially unloaded.

The 3.0 has way more torque, and is so much quieter.

Total time in the shop was about 40 days.

Couple questions about that addendum.

What exactly is this new fuel filter interval? More often? Less often?

And…in CA there’s no one dispensing anything but B20 as far as I can tell. That means I gotta make sure I run down to a quarter tank within every 30 days of a fill up? If so, whew ? I came into ED ownership up to the challenge of special needs but this is getting outta hand. Right?

@here4theD For B20 fuel, the oil interval is 8K or every 6 months. Fuel filter every oil change.

Dealer told me 5 days ago, they're only able to order 1 kit every 7 days. I'm 10-11 on the list so will be looking sometime in January'ish.

Just had mine done yesterday. I didn't get the cool handout when I picked mine up. Truck doesn't sound any different, and runs the same. There was no metal found in my system either. I'm in Oregon and fuel at our cardlock with B20, no additives ever. 47K miles on the odometer, 2022.
