Do you happen to know what is different or improved with the new pumps?

if jeep doesn't require the old pump sent back, mind opening it up and doing a autopsy.

Inquiring minds would love to understand the process the dealer goes through when doing a pump swap. Any info on that would be great.

So how hard would it be to change one on a trail if necessary? What tools would be required. I've seen the recall notice and looked at the instructions. Any specialty tools?

I see. I'm hesitant to believe that this is a end-all fix as ford has been dealing with it since 2011. If they (selling as many diesels as they do) couldn't figure it out.....

I don’t see all the parts there for a full fuel system replacement, but I do see some of the lines.

Curious did you do rails / injectors ?

Jeeps that run only get a pump, applicable lines and gaskets. Jeeps that are towed in or don’t run get an entire fuel system

That was what I was told by my dealer.

same here. I got mine done today… in and out in a day. We’ll see how it is long term but as far as I’m concerned it was a super easy fix.

Got another letter in the mail and notification from my dealer about the recall only to be told the parts are on back order with no ETA.
