Not sure about newer models but on my 2021 Mojave, you can’t lock the center console and locking the rear seats only prevents the seat backs from folding forward. The seat bottoms have no lock.
It locks. I went 2 years thinking mine didn't, until I looked at that small round indent, and then smacked myself upside my head.

Definitely not obvious.

Have nothing in the Jeepand leave glove and center storage open so they can see it's all empty.

I had originally looked at take-off under seat locking storage, but it's less available space than the surround bin. I've seen some adaptation for locking the seat down, some replacing the bin, others modifying it, but haven't decided yet on what to do, but I do want to secure under the seat. I'm a stock but not guy.

I always did what many here mentioned and leave nothing of value in the Jeep. On my CJ-7 and my first TJ I used the Tuffy steel lockable center consoles and mounted my head unit in them.

Looks like they now make inserts for JL/JT's but they are tiny.

Oh my God!!!! I went 5 years not seeing that! 🤦🏻‍♂️ See! This is why this thread is so valuable. Thanks for that tidbit. Now, how do I lock the fold up seat in the back. I found the key slot to lock the upright portion from folding forward.

You can only do the seat backs. aftermarket options exist though.

Without an aftermarket option, you can't lock the lift up seats. That's still an opportunity for Jeep to add that option.

For me, I just put the valuable stuff behind the seats and leave the lower stuff alone. But lockable storage underneath would save someone from breaking the seats.

I always park in among everyone at boat ramps, business and big parking lots. If i had anything in the cab would throw the cab cover over it usually just keep the glove box, console and seatback locked and leave the change in the cupholders. If i have any thing like tools, equipment and gear just run a cable and lock through what i can and if it will fit keep it covered with the tonneau cover and lock the tailgate. if you worry to much about what could happen you will never go anywhere so that is why I pay for insurance. I have a lock and cable for between the brake pedal and steering wheel but seldom bother to use it

I have my tools and important locked.stuff in the heavy duty lockable dry boxes, a big pelican box & what ever Harbor freight sells, in the back bed with big thick cables & locks between them and the tiedowns. Have the flop down locking by tailgate, bed cover over it all. Everything is locked down but big boltcutters and time, they would still have it all.

I have yet to committ to a soft top, so ive just stayed real close on the. couple days last summer we.ran around with the doors and freedom tops off.

I‘m sure this has already been discussed…. I lock the glovebox, lock the center console, and lock the rear seats. I have a locking underseat storage in the back seat (made by Diabolical).

I haven’t locked my vehicle doors in 25 years. I just don’t leave anything in it worth stealing.

reason: it usually cost me more in time and damage than what was stolen is worth.

The last time I locked my doors, the thief tore up the whole door and window frame just to bust a window Because they are stupid.
