JScan can access the radio user settings, I looked and could only find a setting for "Power Accessory Delay On/Off" I think that is the setting for turning off the delay of the accessory's powering down when the key is turned off. I know everything powers off immediately when my doors are off.

A little theory of operation for the driver's door ajar switches might help here.

Aren't we glad we have all these electrical Fancy Toys?
I never had to worry a darn bit about this kind of stuff with my CJ5 or CJ8 scrambler.

Only interior thing you had to muss with was if you got a leak in the heater core.
And that took about 30 min and 2 new hoses to fix.

I didn't have heated seats or air conditioning either, LOL!

The useful bits of info to get out of the theory of operation is that you can't just install a simple jumper wire across the door connector terminals to fool the truck into thinking the door's shut. To provide the correct signals that the computers are expecting to see, you'll need to install jumpers with appropriate resistive values to achieve the correct open/closed statuses of the primary and secondary door switches.

Now the part that I find odd about the OP's situation here is that with the door removed, the computers should be able to see the open (disconnected) status of the door ajar circuit and thus ignore the door open/closed condition when it comes to interior light function and power timeout, and as a result use a default timeout setting... which doesn't seem to be happening.

With manual locks and manual windows there wouldn’t be anything for the computer to see.

The door ajar switches are always inside the doors, regardless of whether the vehicle has power or manual locks and windows.
