Dumb question. Are the front and rear covers interchangeable?

front is M210, rear is M220.

i have one in the bottom of the differential so theres no need for one in the cover

I have a ‘20, so I have a plug. However, if it didn’t have one, I’d weld in an o2 sensor bung, and stick an old sensor in it. I’d cut off and braze the working end so there wouldn’t be any clearance issues inside. Then, I’d plug in a pigtail from the junkyard, and zip tie it up along the frame so it would blend in. Just to mess with them if I took it in for service.
