2020 to 2023, it will need to be programmed for the specific vehicle. Here is the ECU with the part #So 2020 Ram ECU works on a Gladiator?
Nice.![]()
Took some time to have the ECU tuned. Sending it to Canada was quite a hassle. Used USPS to send it.

Tow tune with DEF option.
Had to clean fault code and power cycle a few times to get the engine light off.
Haven't driven much but hope this helps engine to stay healthy.
Right up above there is a picture from DailyDriven. Click on the pic to expand. The cloned one is sitting horizontal, and right where the black plugs are, right below that, vertical, is the stock one still left in place. If you wanted, unplug the tuned one and move the black plugs to the stock one. Some people use double sided tape and velcro to hold the tuned ECU in place.Hi,
When people say they leave the original PCM in place, and mount the cloned PCM (with tune loaded) near the fuse box, what exactly are they doing?
Which PCM stays in the original location, the original PCM?
Are there any photos of what this 'dual PCM' setup looks like?
What is the benefit of doing this?
Thanks!

I don't know if you will find anyone that has already purchased one with a good link. The links seem to change all the time. Your best bet would just be to keep searching Temu or aliexpress for a v1.20 SM2 Pro J2534 ECU Programmer with the CD or USB. It took me a couple weeks before I found mine on sale on temu. But just doing a quick search this one came up:I'm ordering some parts for my truck, and having a hard time to find the right SM2 PRO cloning kit. They all seem to have something missing or no CD with them. Anyone got a good lead on the right kit?
Thanks
Ok thanks. So it has to have either the USB or the CD? I was getting hung up on it having to have the CD. But in further reading it seems I can get the files needed from others on here? is that correct?I don't know if you will find anyone that has already purchased one with a good link. SM2 PRO J2534 Professional Automotive Diagnostics ECU Programming Tools Including Two Different Version Dongles ECU Programmer
if you feel like being a big spender you can get it from company like this:
SM2 PRO J2534 VCI V1.20 12V/24V ECU PCM 67 IN 1
I haven't seen any with the CD recently. It seems most have moved over to the USB. Some users have lost their CD or USB install files and have been able to receive those from other members as far as I know but I can't confirm that for sure.Ok thanks. I have been re-reading the entire thread to wrap my head around it all. I noticed early on you said you may have ordered 2 by mistake. you wouldn't happen to have an extra kit?!!The green usb things are not data drives, they are dongles, they do not contain installation files.
YOu have to gamble, maybe you get a package with a CD maybe you won't, maybe they give you a piece of paper that points you to a link to download software, maybe they don't, ect...
At 40 bucks you just suck it up and work around any problems that show up.
