I hear ya.
In regards to the TCM tune, correct. ALL the info I got for the PCM and TCM was geared towards the PG3 unit. I just winged it (really hate doing that..) and went with the same process for the PG4 usage. It all worked out. And yes, the "all gears by 70" seemed to work fine. I am still a little surprised at how pronounced some of the downshifts are from 3-2 and 2-1.
Question for you. I see more and more talk on the YouTubes about the "exhaust" brake that MRTuning/EOC have for the tuning in Stage 2 package. Do you have any info on that? And yes everyone, I know these diesels don't actually have an exhaust brake....
I have to run a few errands for work in a few minutes after installing the tunes so I'll put 40 to 50 miles on it. This is the first I'm hearing about exhaust braking and I haven't felt anything new the last few days with the stock tune. Will report back in a couple of hours.

I installed the street tune which they say adds 50whp and 80wtq and it makes a very noticable difference over deleted stock. There is no exhaust brake but I wasn't expecting it. I watched parts of too many videos to remember them all but the ones I paid attention to were from EOC, Wolf Overland, and Lorie_Builds_and_Wheels. I don't remember hearing about an exhaust brake but it's been a while since I watched any of the others.

Both the engine and transmission tunes are very impressive. Most likely I'll end up on the towing tune that adds 30 and 50 but I'm going to stay with this one for a few days. The transmission tune really surprised me. I drove 45 miles today after installing the tunes. Normally I set the cruise control but didn't today to keep the trottle below 50%. There are few hills that always cause cruise to downshift, one drops it down to 5th when there's a south wind. Today it's blowing 15 mph and I never came out of 8th gear while only losing 3 mph.

Since swapping the exhaust and installing the ECU, I've got about 240 miles on it driving the same roads I always drive. Before the delete my mileage on these roads would be 20 to 22 and it's now at 24.4. Will take a while to know how much it really changes but I am very happy with it.

Nice! I have been deleted and TCM tuned for a couple thousand miles now. I gained about 5mpg (combined) on the "stock" tune after the delete and I noticed the oil temp runs a little cooler too. Getting about 25mpg now on mixed driving. The overall drive ability is night and day. i ran the +30 and +50 HP and decided the stock tune was more than adequate for my daily commute driving.
I will reach out to Martin and see when/if he is going to write in the VNT exhaust brake. tuning. I recall Wolf doing a YT video last week with some info about the GDE and EOC exhaust brake tune and you had to initiate it in a certain way while driving.

Well the mileage sure seems promising. I’m at about 21-22 pretty steady. It was disappointing after reading so much that people were getting 25-27. Even with 37’s they said!! 🙄
I have yet to get rid of everything, but getting there. And man do I go through DEF fluid still stock. Just filled it for the third time in about 6000 miles. They told me the dealer would top it up every oil change. Can’t wait to get rid of it all!!!

You will not regret it. It's just a whole different truck now. Driveability is so much better, the mileage bump is nice, but really just a bonus in my opinion. I'm on heavy 35's, lifted 2.5" and got a winch stuffed in front of the grill. The throttle response is absolutely amazing. It's borderline too snappy. I changed my oil right after the delete and 2k miles later, the oil still looks like dirty golden honey. LOL.
I wish I would have done it sooner, as everyone else says.

Starting to get all the parts together to do a delete. Got my spare ecu cloned by the dealer the other morning. Bought the ecu from them for $349.00. I asked about cloning the ecu before buying. The first thing out of Candy's mouth was "oh......you doing a delete?". She wanted to know who I was going with. Candy is a great service advisor. Been dealing with her for years. I said "yeah, after my warranty is up. Just gathering parts now." She said no problem. When the ecu comes in, we'll clone it. Cost me $169.00 for cloning.

Dang, wish my dealer was that cheap. Keep us posted on the progress.

That is very understandable. Had it not been for selling the 22 JTR for more than was owed, it would have taken me a while also.

How about a Delete Thread on the process, prep, and necessary parts?

In my build thread. I have one post where I'm listing the parts as I'm buying them.
