Deadeye the surf rod rack fits into a Curt front mount receiver, used that type of setup for years, decades actually! Picture shows how nice Curt hitch tucks up under bumper, I did paint my silver Mojave skid plate black as it just looked too goofy silver with a big black square in the middle. Damn just remembered didn’t add the surf rack cost onto total, add another $90!.....Jack

Sorta estimated to make some whole numbers easy to add up. But been tracking most of the dollars spent to try and keep it sane. Getting it to $10k isn’t very hard, and happens quickly.
I’ve yet to do all the mods, but also tracking to add a supercharger down the line. So keeping a good track has saved me a few bucks and not just spend a hundred bucks or two at random for the wrong purpose.

For sure, if you're running an overlander this gets out of hand quickly. My RTT and canopy put me over the $10K mark, when I add the suspension, tires, winch, lighting, trail kitchen, cargo glide, water tank, etc., we're pushing $30K. But she's a beauty:

Cost isn't that bad on your's when you consider how much people spend on their campers. If I add my camper suddenly I am way higher than I thought. lol

I've been blessed to be able to do my build as I wish. I don't really track it close, but easily over 20K.

not going crazy as the Mojave is pretty good the way I want it so just did a Bumper and winch, Tonneau and slightly bigger tire. Everything else is small stuff

I was going to originally post, "Ha Ha, Honey, nice try! I know when you are trolling my posts to see what I actually paid versus what I told you."

But now, after reading what some of you have done, I realize how fortunate I am to have lucked in to some free upgrades. And how much more some of you have done. So now I can say, "See, Honey? I'm not nearly as bad as that guy..."

Getting a free winch bumper and free rims really helped. Most expensive upgrade I've done so far is a Cascadia 4x4 solar panel, and it was worth it!

This is such a wide question that is rather useless. If someone buys a sport and adds lockers, 33s, spray in liner, bed cover, and new switches, there answer will be 8K in mods. If the next person buys a Rubicon with all of that included on the sticker, they spent nothing in mods.

No talking about the sticker price on the Gladiator (Overland) I bought last July, but:....

Rims, Wheels, 2.5" Metal Cloak Leveling Kit - $4500.
JL Amplifier and dual bazookas installed - $600
AuxBeam 6-gang relay/switch system - $159
Sport Rack for lights and antenna mounting $460
Tri-fold Bed cover - $450
Magnaflow cat-back high performance exhaust system ending in dual black tips, installed - $1500.

That's almost $8000 of extras/mods in 9 months.
