Yep. Have to get the whole unit. Last time I checked. Think it was around $180.00.
Yup. At the price point, I don't really need to replace it lol

Dude nice find. That makes a bit easier to swallow lol Confirmed fit or did you not get it yet?
No, not here yet. I'll post when it does in case somebody else has the same problem.

OK, so for you ham fisted folks like me who destroyed their fuel insert trying to get it out, the Wrangler diesel fill tube insert (as posted above) does fit. It sucks that you can't just order the plastic pieces, but at least this part is half the price of the Gladiator part. Pictures included. PS, it's still a pain to get it out, even with it out of the vehicle. Kudos to you guys who did it while on!

Just pulled my out today. I used the crimper plier technique, it's easier than expected. Also applied a little silicone grease on the oring, and it slipped right back in the tube.

Using the ends of the thread as leveraging to twist it off the tabs, then put the cap back on and pull it out.

Yea i tried mine, but they were too large.........thats what she said so I ended up using picks and 2 flat heads and channel locks and i still managed to break off an edge of the filler neck. O well. Its off and the stupid flap is off. Hopefully the super glue holds otherwise its gorilla glue.

another option. Just a simple adapter tube.

(This beats the stock cone funnel by fully enclosing the nozzle. If you've tried actually using the cone funnel, you'll find it hard to pour fuel slow enough that it doesn't splash directly back at you and all over the side of the truck. Usually the slowest you can pump with the big nozzles is too fast, so you have to just barely get it to flow, and stay completely focused on stopping if flow rate increases at all. Obviously it sucks, we all know that or this thread wouldn't exist - but the simple enclosed adapter might be the right answer for some)
