Ok Guys I am at it again.
What's the deal with the Diesel filler necks LOL they are terrible.
I seen they have a filler mod for theneck that guts the stiupid flap out.
does anyone have a link to this
You Can't fill up but at certain pumps and that's not always the way it works
These should have a full open throat to fit a DIESEL nozzle in them

I don't have any idea why they do this on the Jeep. The Ram doesn't have it. Any nozzle will go right in.

Hi Everyone. New to this forum. Thanks JC JT for getting the Ball rolling on this. removing the whole filler neck and doing this on a bench will likely be a whole lot easier. I managed to remove the stupid baffle thing with the filler neck still in the Jeep.

Basically the plastic insert is held in by plastic tabs, These things are pretty hard to push in, Start with the upper tab, then the lower one.

also if you try this with it still in the Jeep. its a good idea to put down a few layers of masking tape to prevent scratching anything.

Right after this Mod I went to fill up with a regular (small) nozzle filler, No problems. the auto stop worked just fine. and now I don.t need a funnel and can use the High Flow pumps just like the big rigs. (just ads to the cool to cool factor of owning a diesel Jeep)

understatement!
...or I'm just a weakling, I cant get it this way even tho i trashed 2 screwdrivers lol
I'm running into the same issue! I can't seem to get the top tab pushed in far enough to slide out... First I tried to remove the whole assembly, but at least on my 2022 it seems like the filler neck is sealed to the tube/hose that runs to the tank so it won't come off.

So I've been trying to pry it out without removing everything. I thought I could use a hose clamp but I can't get it tight within the space there. I've also bent up a screwdriver to try but can't seem to push the upper tab in. Then I thought maybe I could use a oil filter wrench to clamp down on the tabs but I can't get it to line up.

Anyone have any thoughts on how else to do this?

I'm taking a trip right now. Soon as I get home. I'm doing this mod. I'm traveling from south of Pittsburgh to Lake Powell Utah. Found a truck stop that had diesel for $4.89 a gallon. Problem was they had the big nozzles. Had to go down the interstate and pay $5.39 a gallon.

Have not looked into a cap-less diesel mod.
