Would love to see what Whistlin' Diesel would do with this rig!

I get 20/24 with my build with 1 tons, 6.5inch lift on 42s. I would say it might be a little high but still probably close to what it could get if you drive it conservatively.
HOW conservatively?!?!?!? Damn I’m lucky if I averaged 17 on my old Gladiator and so far about 15 on the new one, both in AT tires. I hope that goes up after the break-in period. Then again I hardly ever do under 75 on the highway and don’t care much for looking at other people’s taillights 🤣

That thing is wild looking!!! Saw one locally built for sale at the Mecum auction but only one axel drove in the rear. Second axel not attached to anything. Just for show. I also notice this in the listing, which I can’t believe is right:

  • MPG City / Hwy: 22 / 28
They goofed up the initialism. It's now GPM.

Yeah, I drive it pretty conservatively. When I first got it was driving it like I stole it but it was coming close to the temp ranges so I've backed off and just drive it conservatively and usually stay around 75mph or slower.

In the winter I see around 14-16mpg, and summer I see around 16-20 mpg. Depends on how I drive, less MPG if I'm having fun or in shit traffic, more if I'm babying it. Glad we got rid of the shit winter blend fuel. This is in the 6 speed on stock 3.73s with 32 MTs as well.

When I have the sunrider open on the highway, I see about 1mpg less, especially if traveling "with traffic".

I expect a 1-2mpg loss when I switch to 255/85R17 (34s) from Mickey Thompson, at least until I re-gear. Then it should come back to normal, whatever THAT is 😂

Funny story, back when Obama gave us $5 a gallon gas I was in a station filling up my Hummer, a vehicles that barely broke 10mpg. This older lady is on the pump in front of me filling up he’s shitty little rusted out old oriental shoebox.

Out of nowhere she yells out, “I bet you feel stupid now!”. I was shocked! Who would talk like that to a total stranger. So I asked her what she mean so I could be certain of what her comment was.

So now that she’s emboldened by my civilized engagement she sputters “Mr. Bigshot buying a huge car like that now has to spend a small fortune just to keep it on the road.” And she starts cackling.

So I looked at her and said. “First, do I look like a give a shit about the price of gas? Second I wish gas would go up to $20 gallon so people like you couldn’t afford to drive at all and I’d have the roads and parking lots to myself. And third, I’m done pumping and about to pull out and since your in front of me if you don’t move in 30 seconds I’m going to run over your car and flatten that POS you drive like a pancake on my way out.”.

I’ve never seen someone pull out of a gas station so fast in my life… 🤣🤣🤣

Why did an image of D’s Gladiator crawling over cars in traffic pop into my brain? :CWL:
Someone has been watching the puke-gold/green/yellow wrangler driving over cars with 37s again, huh?
