@Jake:

1) The trail camera is optional and not standard. And I didn’t add the front camera to my Rubicon. I’ll make do with spotters, folded windshields, and no doors for trail visibility... ;)

2) Also, look closely at the center of the brush guard at the AEV logo. It’s attached with 2 screws. Why would that logo be exactly there (in same location as the trail camera) with a removable cover plate? And AEV states the brush guard hoop is shaped like a “U” to hide wiring. My guess is AEV has planned for the front trail camera to be swapped into their bumper. :)
Yes I noticed that center AEV plate held on by 2 screws. Now ya got me wondering if you could take that plate out if a Jeep front mounted camera would be able to see through the bull bar. And another possible idea would be to possibly re-mount a Jeep camera in front of that plate or better yet inside the bull bar, right where that plate is. Hmmmmm!!!!!!!

How much...$1,300 +/- based on AEVs current bumpers...and an ARB for a modern SUV is $1,500+...so I’d guess in that range.

This is exactly why I didn’t go overboard on options for my Rubicon. Save some cash for toys...

I’m planning on bumper, winch, Hi-Lift Jack, Maxx-track, bed rack, and some skid plates initially...already bought tube doors. :)

Does anyone have any suggestions for a full width aftermarket bumper for the Gladiator? I was interested in the Westin WJ2 which showed as compatible with the Gladiator on the Quadratec website. I checked directly with Westin who says it is not compatible with Gladiator.
Metalcloak JL bumpers have been confirmed to fit as well. Will be going this route. Metalcloak is on point with everything

I decided to go with the barricade alloy bumper. Has steal direct mount to the frame and steal for the winch mount, and an aluminum bumper. Winch should be here tomorrow. Had to drill (2 holes) the skid plate to fit as its designed to work with the factory bumper. Waiting on fog lights, as the rubicon leds don’t fit, as well as some small yellow llc lights for the bar.

I bet the Jeep front camera would work with that bumper and grill guard.

This may be what I go with. I have been looking for an aluminum bumper. It's a bummer the stock LED fogs don't fit. Were they too big or too small?

They are a completely odd shape on the back so the mount is way to big. I ordered other leds lights.

I’m waiting for the AEV front bumper. New boron steel product will be over 20lbs lighter and AEV really does a great job integrating functionality with good design.

When ordering my Gladiator, I’d thought about the Mopar Steel Bumper option ($695)...but I also had to order LED Light option too ($995)! Almost $1,700 to get a bumper I was “ok” with...and LED lights that I feel are way overpriced. Plus I already have rear LED taillights (cones with Tow Pkg).

Ordering the Mopar Steel Bumper separately via Dealer Parts Dept is $995.

Who at Jeep thought packaging the steel bumper with LED headlights was a good idea? Probably the same person that jacked up the same steel bumper price $300 via Jeep Parts Dept.

And the steel bumper has no grille protection! Not to mention the steel bumper risks delaying my Gladiator order...

For a bit more, with AEV, I’ll get a bumper that’s lighter, better designed, with removable ends, AND grille protection.
You sure the AEV bumper is lighter? I looked at it as well and I thought it was heavier than the OEM bumper. Do you have the weights of each? My research showed the OEM bumper at 82 lbs I think that includes the wings.

Saw a SEMA clip (think Jay owner of this site was interviewer) where AEV rep said it was 20# lighter...but now in retrospect I think it was 20# lighter than an identical AEV steel (non-Boron type). He may have cited weight but I don’t recall it.

And he made claims for stronger too...

But keep in mind the Jeep Bumper is bumper only with no hoop on top for winch and radiator protection. So AEV by design has more metal.

This will be my first AEV purchase. Expect it to be available Q4 2019.

I don't remember my source, but I believe AEV told me on their Facebook the bumper was over 100 lbs. I don't doubt its stronger, as the OEM bumper is pretty thin and week, but it is light. Trade offs.

As far as the hoop/bull bar/stinger, I have seen several (different sizes) that bolt on to the OEM bumper. https://www.quadratec.com/categories/jeep-bumpers/grille-guards

@homerun yeah but that’s another $200 on top of a bumper that’s priced at $695 but you can’t get without spending another $995 for the LED lights too.

If I can come up with $900 to throw at Jeep’s base bumper + aftermarket hoop, then I can save a bit more for the $1,300 (I hope) AEV version. At least that’s what I’m trying to tell myself to justify the AEV purchase! Lol.

Does anyone know if the ROCK HARD 4X4 PATRIOT SERIES ALUMINUM FRONT BUMPER W/FOG LIGHT CUTOUTS for the JK will work on the Gladiator?
