Front Bumper Replacement

I would measure the frame width inside and outside on both vehicles to verify fit. You might be able to get the dimensions from the dealer/builder. If the JK and JL frame widths are the same then it should fit the JT as the JT and JL are the same. I couldn't get to the inside bolts on my winch plate so I had to separate them. Used a floor jack for support. I have a two post lift which help with the install.

I’m looking to do the same. I’ve got a Bestop HighRock bumper that I love on my JK with a bulldog winch, LED barlight and halo fog lights. Plan to undo the wires and pull the bumper with the hoop, winch and lights all in one, put the factory bumper back on at trade in and then mount it to the JT. If I remember correctly, I read on the JL forum that it fits the JL fine but if it doesn’t, I figure I can always do a minor mod to make it fit or sell it to buy a JT specific one.

Best of luck with it. I’ve had my bumper sitting on the garage floor for a month since I sold my JK. Truck is done and awaiting shipping now so hopefully not too much longer. I have my eye on a few JL/JT specific bumpers if this doesn’t work but if it does the only concern will be the bar and whether it gets in the way of the trailcam.

If I remember right, thinking the JT might be a few years, I was looking at a JLUR so I was checking into it and several people with different bumpers said theirs bolted right up and one guy said the inner two of the four bolts that bolt to the frame end on his bumper lined up perfect and the outer two were off by an 1/8 inch. He said he ovaled the holes a hair and it went right on with grade 8 washers behind the frame end just in case.

What are you going to do for tow hooks/D-rings? Doesn't look like that bumper comes with any.

It has removable covers that allow you to use the factory red hooks.

Shipping weight was 110 lbs so I would imagine the bumper is the same 81 lbs as the smitty bilt and off brand unit were... Same exact bumper.... I' ll weigh it when it arrives 7/30 and let you know.... saved enough to buy a winch!

EAG stubby front bumper (smittybilt XRC type )arrived today. First impressions.. well built and same style as the XRC... much better price! The actual bumper weight is 77.6 lbs plus about 5 lbs of hardware for mounting... 81 lbs is a good estimate.... @steffan707
Now just waiting to take delivery of my JT and get this sucker mounted up! Should get the call from Travis this week and road trip time! It's a good thing as the garage is filling up with parts screaming "add me on"!

I keep digging to find out if my Rigged Ridge XHD aluminum bumper on my JK will fit but I haven't found anything yet. Probably taking it off my JK before I sell it and if it doesn't fit, I'll just sell the bumper separately.

JK bumper will fit. I actually put a Barricade JK bumper on my JT. I took it back off because I didn't like the design look on my truck. It fit perfect. No modifications or alterations. My wife's JKU bumper fit also.

Yeah it fit fine but didn't look right so I'm selling it and slowly figuring out what I want to do with the front. I like the bull bar on my old bumper but I have the trailcam and don't want obstructions in the camera line of sight.
