Careful...Tread Lightly was started by the US Forest Service as an environmental conservancy agent. While it is an off-roading advocacy group, its main focus is environmental protection and conservation while defending and preserving recreational access.

From the website: "Tread Lightly! and its partners lead a national initiative to protect and enhance recreation access and opportunities by promoting outdoor ethics to heighten individuals’ sense of good stewardship." The bottom line being, the better we take care of our trails and responsibly off-road, the less government intervention that will need to be implemented. Win-win. They are an NPO and advocate of responsible wheeling, but make no mistake: they are environmentalists. They're just our kind of environmentalists.
I agree.

When it comes down to it I have yet to hear someone say they hate nature and the environment. What I have heard is that there is difference conservationist vs the environmentalists. We all live in the same planet here folks!

I joined the program and when I go in to get a control number it does not give the Gladiator as an option. Anyone else have the same problem?

Most likely because the ordering banks are not open yet. I cant run my CDI number to see how much of a discount it will get yet neither.

Hey all,

Very excited. Was thinking about signing up for this tread lightly discount but was wondering can it be stacked on top of other incentives like first responder or military discounts. If this has been asked I apologize. This is literally my first time on a forum in years. Thanks.

there are dealers on here advertising up to 7% under invoice with Tread lightly/FCA control #, dealer financing, and ordering directly thru them. So it would all be the same in the end.

I was scrolling through the FCA Affiliate list looking for "MEMBERS" since I knew my employer would not be on this list. I came across the Access Fund here in Colorado which appears to be an advocacy group for climbers. Cheapest membership is $35, which looks like it is sufficient for the FCA pricing:

Correct me if I'm wrong. Theoretically I can order a Launch Edition JT today and then join Tread Lightly. As long as I have my control number from tread lightly before I take delivery, the dealer should be able to adjust my pricing and give me the tread lightly 1% below invoice price on the JT Launch Edition?

Yes, need to have the CN when you pick up the JT, not when you order.

You are not wrong, with one caveat: you have to make sure the dealer you are using will honor the Affiliate Pricing on that order. Dealerships are not required to accept AR on any vehicle, let alone a high-demand, launch edition like this one. The best dealers will, but just be sure to confirm AR pricing when you place your order.

How? Thought you had to wait for the mailing. I’d love to see if I can get my control number.

Post 16 has a list of the FCA Affiliates, Find 'Tread Lightly' or whatever your affiliation, copy their ID code.
Post 1 has the FCA link, type in the info,
BOOM!
DONE!

Just make sure you have your membership card when you go to the dealer, or the control number will be useless.
