Can anyone tell me why the Jeep Gladiator Mojave MPG is rated at 17/22 and the Gladiator Rubicon is rated at 21/27.

That's a big difference.

Look at the engine it is equipped with. I believe the Mojave is only available with a gas engine, where the Rubicon can be equipped with a gas or diesel engine.

See below, it's a misprint.
(The gas Rubicon MPG is actually the same as the Mojave)
2021/22 Jeep Gladiator Mojave/MPG
Up to 17 city / 22 highway

2021/2 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon/MPG
Up to 21 city / 27 highway

2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon 3.0L V6 Diesel Automatic Crew Cab/MPG
21 city / 27 highway

It’s that pesky “up to”... up to 21 city / 27 highway. I’m sure they are referring to the diesel. Can’t Relate to that but I can say the Mojave should also say “as little as 15 city”. Lol

Is the Mojave noticeably worse in city driving than other trims?

I can’t see how they have different gas mileage. That’s got to be the diesel mpg, which isn’t available on the Mohave.

You are probably looking at the diesel numbers for the Rubicon.

The gas Rubi and Mojave are the same mechanically as far as MPG is concerned.

Well, OP hasn't been around since the 5th, so probably started the thread and left.

In the summer I was touching 18mpg. When it got cold and the winter gas came out as well as firing up the heated seats, steering wheel and taking advantage of the remote start the mpg plummeted. Pretty much self induced.

About to pull up the trigger on a Mojave, but for some reason I've been coming across more favorable MPG number from people with Rubicons...?

If MPG is a big concern, you are shopping for the wrong truck.
