I may get some hate for my statements below. I have a Willys JT and my wife has a JL. The JT is my first jeep and I bought it because my wife wouldn't let me mess with hers. I actually do a lot of house projects and though having a bed on the jeep would be nice. I absolutely think the JT bed is a waste as it can't haul 4x8 sheets of anything easily. Yes it fits but not between the wheel wells. I wanted to modify my JT but I really don't offroad so it would be for looks, as I think most of them are. I should add I traded from a Ram 1500 and I highly regret it.

At the end of the day, I enjoy driving the JL better. If you don't need the bed or you can use a trailer for anything else, a JL may be a better option. Just my two cents.

I’ve had both, Mojave hands down. The ride is so much smoother in a gladiator due to the longer wheelbase and you can’t beat the Mojave suspension. This is another option for the open air experience. Not as convenient as a sunrider but takes less than a minute to open. I think they are sold at summit racing now.

The '22 Gladiator I'm in now has 33s I installed and no lift or any other suspension mods, the top lifts off with complete ease on the same hoister and is featherweight in comparison.
What hoist do you use? a motor attached to the ceiling of your garage, or a stand alone wheeled hoist? I'm looking for a wheeled hoist that works with my gladiator and my wife's JL.

I have a Gladiator Rubicon and my wife just bought a JL 2-door Sport S.

I would choose the Gladiator all day long over a 4-door. I'd be mindful of sales that are going on right now- You mentioned in a different response that you were seeing used trucks around $45k. Honestly, I'd consider a new version. Great sales are out there. There was a guy who recently posted a holy grail of a deal- a Rubicon, with leather, and a bunch of other FANTASTIC options that he walked away with for $47k.

The deals are out there- Gladiators are sitting on dealership lots, and they are motivated to sell new ones to people. Anything you buy used right now was purchased when used prices were crazy high, so you are going to be fixing a dealerships mistake if you buy used.

If you need a truck get a Gladiator if you don't get a wrangler that simple. The Wrangler is a better more comfortable ride than the Gladiator you can do more Hauling with the Gladiator so you gotta decide what works best. Plus the Gladiator soft tops looks stupid compared to the wranglers so if your looking at that the Wrangler is a much better option. I have a Gladiator because I need a truck and wanted something similar to my JKU Wrangler, best of both worlds.

My Gladiator rides so much better than my JK ever did. IMHO, the my Gladiator rides just as good as my Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and that rides really nice.

The bed is the reason i got the gladiator. Plus i don't really like teh 4 doors. The 2019 and newer have way better aesthetics though. My hard top comes off regularly and is fairly easy to remove by myself it weighs like 60 lbs i think. I can do it by myself off and on though it is always easier with help. Its more awkward than anything else.

I have a Gladiator because I like it more than the Wrangler. It's that simple for me.

First, I believe you are looking at the wrong trim of Gladiator. The equivalent of the Sahara is the Gladiator Overland Trim. The Overland just the the Sahara has the best suspension for driving on pavement.

Second, do you want a truck bed or not? Only you can answer that question.

Finally, the soft top on a gladiator is an easy flip backwards. No, its not the ease of the sky touch, but it's not hard either. Once flipped back it's as open as the sky roof.

I know this is a Gladiator forum...

But I need a new vehicle and am looking at used Mojave's and used Wranglers.

I had a 19 Sahara a couple years ago but sold it and not sure if the Gladiator would be better in the long run and was wondering if anyone has had experience with both. I won't do any off-roading, just daily driving with the kids, errands, etc.

The main reason I like the Wrangler is for the Sky One Touch. Removing my old hard top was such a pain, I hated it and the gladiator doesn't have that option. Kids would love having that open air feeling

However, having the Mojave comforts, shocks, and bed would be better on a day to day basis (at least I think)

Any opinions would be great

Thanks!
My family has a ‘23 Wrangler and a ‘21 Gladiator Mojave…. Go Mojave… we take long distance trips and off-road. Mojave is more comfortable and the bed is more useful.

You're the first person I've ever heard say that the Wrangler rides better than the Gladiator. No way! The Gladiator rides significantly better than the Wrangler... even the 4-door Wrangler. The reason is the Gladiator has an even longer wheelbase and it has a modified version of the Ram pickup's rear suspension - that rides much smoother than the Wrangler's.

Alright I'm not gonna argue about this one but I've owned both and a JLU drives and rides better than a Gladiator 100%. If you have never heard anyone say it then now you have. But you can definitely believe what you want, I guess it's just a matter of opinion. Heck my 2010 JKU rode better than the my Gladiator does, if it wasn't grossly underpowered I'd still own it. I do love my Gladiator though but I'm not delusional.
