Well one can easily argue that the instigator would be just as culpable and it would have been better to call out both to show a level of impartiality. I'll just leave it at that.

If you're referring to me, you're right. I didn't mean to make it sound political and could have used better words to get my point across. My point was, the gladiator is not a vehicle that most journalists would be thrilled with. Like others have said it excels at nothing except for making its owners smile and there are much better fuel efficient vehicles that are good enough offroaders for most of us.

Yeah FCA is going to have to fire sale the 23MY JLs and JTs with the improvements in the 24MY refresh.

Interest rates are doing the same thing to the automotive industry as the housing market.

If they want to give me a heavy discount and low to zero APR, I'll gladly take a 23 instead of ordering the 24. Especially in Punk'n ?

I would gladly take a 23 over 24 if they did this but they won't do this, everything is still too high

I keep watching the 23s because I dont have a Gladiator! I keep looking at used too to see if prices start to drop. So far rebates are 3-5k depending on trim level. A few dealers are adding additional advertised discounts. New orders I have seen 6% below MSRP and then add the rebate.

Genuinely curious what you mean with this. In my area, houses are no longer going over listing price, unless the savvy realtor lists under market value to start a bidding war, but otherwise prices shot to the moon and seem to be settling amongst the stars. Although, I am sure this varies by region.

In our area, housing market demand has slowed some but price hasn't really come down since supply is still well below demand. High interest rates only help to keep supply lower since current owners do not want to "upgrade" at this point.

Where I'm at people are not buying because of interest rates........those rates add up quick in my area.......high cost of living here.

When my neighborhood was being built everything was sell stupid fast when rates were in the 2-3% range. Since I bought last June only 3 other houses have sold...........2 partially built and 4 more where they have not even broken ground.

Ah, Vegas still seems to be a steaming hot market. Anything decently priced still flies off the shelves. That's both in the low, mid and high end. Price appropriately for the area and condition.. and it's gone within a few weeks. It is no longer hours, but it will still disappear off the market.

Cost of living seems to be skyrocketing, but is still somehow cheaper than our neighbors to the West. Folks from SoCall seem to be coming in droves, much like they seem to be going everywhere else. Can't say I blame them, between state income, sales and property taxes you can take like a 20% to 30% pay cut and still give yourself a raise in most cases. Remote work has also accelerated this process.

We also have also had an influx of people with stupid money within the last few years in the area with the introduction of hockey and football. It is not just the millionaire players, but their families, team executives, support staff and so on. Most all of these people are very well paid. They aren't making an immediate impact on the day-to-day life of the average person, but they certainly are able to afford and pay for things in a way some of us cannot possibly fathom. My detail guy, I pay him like $90 every couple months to detail the JT. He does a bi-weekly maintenance on the high end vehicle of a top paid football player. He expressed he makes in a few hours doing that what he used to make in a 2-3 days worth of sweat in 110+ degree weather. Keep in mind his details ranged from $70-$150 and he'd bust out 7-8 cars a day.

The town I grew up knowing as a not well hidden gem with accessibility to anything you want 24/7 , affordable housing and decent paying jobs will soon be a thing of the past as we move further into the future and urbanization / development of the region. I don't think it is a bad thing, just the future arriving like it has in every other large metro area.

Anyways... how does this tie back into sales numbers of the gladiator? Well again, interest rates are making this silly hard for people to afford, it's a niche truck, no one is buying them as fleet vehicles like F150's or Ram 1500's, etc. Rental companies don't want them for their fleets either, at least not typically. I think it is selling how Jeep anticipated, decently well against the Tacoma for the offroad enthusiast and is b

Part of the issue was a missed forecast of the demand. It was ramping up, then things again corrected. A lot of factors, drop in used car prices, increase in interest rates (not foreseen by the automakers)
It's a stack-up of things.
We're out here playing "guess why" and "place the blame" from chairs, couches, whatever, and have none of the information needed to make a smart guess, let alone an educated response based on facts and research.
Yep used car prices have somewhat corrected themselves but new car from the info I saw were still selling at 30% higher and have not been willing to adjust themselves. I was at the Dealership yesterday and was talking to the General Manager while waiting on my truck being serviced. Asked him about the JT and he was saying they have bunch sitting on the lot but very few lower models almost all of them were Rubicons, Mojave or Limited Edition Sport S all very high ticket items. They were however selling Ram 1500's as fast as they can get them.

I am surprised Gladiators sell at all.
They do not handle well, get poor gas milage, are very expensive, hard to get in and out of, and really not very good as a truck. Much better options out there.
With that said, I must be uneducated because I love my Gladiator. It brings me joy every time I drive it.
I looked at F-150's, Tacomas, Rangers, and Colorados before buying a Gladiator. Most/all were more practical as "trucks" and got better fuel mileage, at least on paper, but all bored me to tears. The Gladiator was the one I enjoyed driving, quirks and all.

I see you’re in NC. If you’re ready to pull the trigger check out this thread to get the best price around…

Travis is offering 6% below INVOICE not MSRP.

Yeah, I think they are already starting. I received another “private offer” coupon from Stallantis for an additional $1,750 off that’s in addition to all current rebates\offers.
