They have a lot of electronic issues, radio bugs etc. it’s the same 2.7 that they put in the Silverado and we haven’t seen to many failures yet. They did have some paint issues earlier on, I work for a gm dealer and don’t own a gm product. The Zr2 looks like a nice rig though but I wouldn’t trust it.
Hoppefully its not like my 2004 Jimmy ZR2 I leased for 2 years, after 42 warranty claims I paid 10,000$ to trade it in and get a 2004 TJ Rubicon :D

I feel like people are looking at the power plant numbers and assuming it’s a beast….go drive one I did and I was not impressed. For what it claims to produce torque/HP wise it felt gutless. I would go for the ranger raptor over all the current 2025 midsize IFS trucks available.
Yeah I wasn't that impressed. Yes it drives better than my Mojave, but not much better.

Yeah the trade in on my Willy's drastically changed from one week to the next. Carvana dropped their purchase price by four grand in one week. CarMax wanted to by my Jeep for less than the dealer. I figured out what the difference was based on selling it and paying the extra taxes or trading it in. Asked the dealer to work with me on the difference and they did. Understand your situation.
Lucky for me I still love the Mojave, I just have a bad habit of trading vehicles! I will play my usual game and get to the point where I need new tires and am out of warranty to look for a trade. I feel like I am at the point where it will hold the same trade value for another 15k and 6+ months.

I went from a new 21 ZR2 to a new 23 Mojave.
Not the same truck as a 25 ZR2, so I’ll point out some of the stuff that’s relevant.
Reliability: I think I got a COVID Colorado, it had 29 unscheduled dealer visits on the carfax in 2.5 years.
Only one in the first year of the jeep.
Ride: there’s no comparison, ZR2 rides way better than the jeep, everywhere. The multimatic in the chev are pretty magical
Looks: subjective, but I think the zr2 looks better than the jeep, unless the top and doors are off…
Room: rear seat in the chev is useless, but the bed is taller and so cargo is easier to haul.

Aftermarket is way more robust for the jeep. Same with forum support.
The chev was my dream truck, I still get all misty eyed when I see them, but the poor reliability was too much…. Eventually the top right of the hot crazy scale gets the better of all of us.

One thing I hated about the ZR2 was the piano black grill and dash. It should never be used on the interior and on a grill is just stupid. I want my vehicles to be rugged and minimize scratches. I know my Gladiator is a much better interior for my needs than a ZR2.

I had one follow me on a semi difficult trail in the smokies, Hurricane creek , was wet.
I was kinda shocked to see it and it did well. I was in my rubicon on 35 all terrains. I don't feel like it was on the same level of trail capability as what I was in, but darn close. For a full body truck very impressive

To bad KO2 37s are really 35s lol; I know, I have a set on my JLUR

In order for the K02 to reach the size the, you have to mount on a 10" width. Which they show on BFG sizes as the size used.

I took a hard look at the GMC Canyon AT4X (incl the AEV version) as well as the new Tacoma TRD Off Road, before ultimately going with a Gladiator Mojave.

I chose the Gladiator because it's unique with real off-road capability baked in from the start, and the strong Jeep community. It also has better aftermarket support to "make it your own". The V6 is also a huge plus since it has the smoothness and pleasant sounds that no turbo-4 can dream of. Whatever motor has the most power is of zero importance to me. I have a hard time enjoying the drive when the powertrain sounds like sh!t. But hey, that's just my opinion...

Saving 20+% was icing on the cake. I would have still purchased the Gladiator without the discount.

Had so many GM electronic issues and radio bugs GM bought mine back. Now I’m here. So far, happy w/ my decision.
