I was in Ohio for a wedding Memorial Day Weekend, drove over to the plant on Monday and they were working. Employee parking was full and lots of trucks coming and going. Saw a few Gobi Gladiators in the lots around the plant but not as many as I was hoping to see.

I imagine my JTR was there sitting in the lot since mid April.

I don't think this is accurate. Exterior color has no affect on dash color. Seat choice changes dash color.

Weird. I'd be annoyed if I built it to order using the configurator, maybe made interior decisions specifically because I wanted the red trim, then it showed up in grey. It's not like Jeep thinks the red clashes or something, they still do the red stitching and red badge accents.

I just picked mine up and it has the grey dash. But that's what I ordered. I think painting it Gobi is the right call anyway.

this is exactly what I want to do with my FIRECRACKER Willys diesel. I want to sell it and get a gobi diesel. hoping I can break even on the red.

I’m actually hoping I don’t get the red dash. I was halfway tempted to get tan interior to avoid the red.

I don’t think that trick of switching to the custom leather ones means anything anymore, considering that he has the cloth rubicon seats and the dash is still gray. ??

I do want the red dash so I hope it’s a matter of getting the leather seat option. The red stitching on the dash and door arm rest is also missing in the picture shown. I’ll ask my dealer who is speaking to the DM about my order today.
