Mine came with the hard top, and I SWEAR they said I had the dual top option when I bought it. Even had this wrapped up vinyl "thing" in plastic that I thought was the soft top. Went to swap out the tops this weekend, and came to find out this "thing" was actually the Freedom Panel Storage case. Not mad....but i was kind hoping to have the option to switch to either.

Then again I'm lazy....and if i had to choose, it would def be the hard top.
You don’t know what you bought? I haven’t seen any dual tops in the wild.

Does anyone know what the hardtop costs? I already have the soft top.

I asked about getting a body color hard top when I did the first test drive, since everything on the lot had black tops. The dealer quoted me $3500 to order it.

I ordered the body color top and fenders.....mainly because I've never had body colored tops of fenders...

Soft tops look weird on and weirder retracted. And they’re loud.

Toss in the fact that the hard tops are so light anyone can remove them...very little reason to get a soft top now.

The soft top on the JT is far from loud. Have you driven one?

That is good to know when I aftermarket price shop. Saw one for sale on Craigslist (black) and he wanted $4,000 saying they were $5,000 new.

Actually the lack of noise is impressive. I have had 8 Jeeps (6 were soft tops) - This one was the best they have ever done. As for looks retracted...well...I have to give you that one :)

I think the look of the retracted soft top is what is pushing me to a hard top. I’ll take the freedom top off for a quick topless ride and it seems the rest of the hard top is simple to take off for the weekend.

I get that. The only issue I had with the hardtop was that the top did not come off as often. The soft top is quick - easy for short errands. A Best Top(?) with a hard top might be the best option.

Does anyone know of any hardtop for sale? Im in Florida and willing to travel. Currently have the soft top, also would be willing to trade my soft top plus cash for hardtop.

Don't like the soft top at all but thinking dual top because I doubt I'd pull all the hard top that often and the boys in the back wouldn't get the top down experience.

Anyone have open soft top pics taken from the back seat? Looks like it doesn't open terribly far over the back seat which might negate reasoning behind wanting one.

The entire backseat is open with it down. I'll run out at lunch and get a pic for you

Soft top for me - Having had many jeeps - and hardtops - I don't need another hard top to store and I bought the Gladiator because its a drop top. Freedom top doesnt do it for me -
