You know, that almost seems to be more of a reason to use a circuit breaker instead. Or would that not be a correct use for a breaker?I live at 8,600’ in Colorado. They’re fine. If they get coated in a layer of ice, and I don’t notice, the fuse just blows so they don’t damage themselves. I just kick them to free the steps from the ice and swap in a new fuse. It only happens a couple times per winter.
