I got a soft top as well, no need to be jealous, I just don't use it, a good example of why above among other things. If my hard top is off i can drive right into my garage with no issue, as well as if the panels are just removed.
True. You have no issues driving in the garage with the hard top. Thanks for letting us know. For us with soft tops who can easily put the top dow in the blink of an eye, and show off our man buns whenever we want, this is a concern.

Or for those of us who take the top completely off when we ride because we ain't scared if a little rain, it's not a concern.

My JT came with the hardtop, couldn't wait to get my soft top installed. Install went great and I was thinking I better check clearance into the garage with the top
folded back. Course I forgot.

Knocked it right out of the tracks and bent the hell out it .
This is actually a picture of after I straightened it out some.
No damage to the top ! Worked fine after the carnage.

I can't be the only one.
And guess what? I did it again but just a light tap . I blame that on the sun shade I put on that sometimes doesn't make it obvious the top is folded back. Jeez !
Yeah, broke both latches off the soft top and tore the metal bracket with the weather stripping off the bottom of the door. Thankfully no damage to the soft top frame. Cost about $200 to replace the latches.

LOL - you've never driven in the 5"/hour rains we get,
or when it's wind driven at 50-80 mph, I bet. ;)

Now if only we'd GET some of that rain!

I don't know I've been a few down pours in the JKU.

Fair Play. And with the hard top when it gets really nasty you can easily drive into the garage without worry. Hard top or soft top aside, we all have an incredibly capable vehicle we all love. That is why we are here.
Back to the OP, if you have a soft top, garage doors are a concern. This is something I never thought about but will watch out for from now on.
Driving a gladiator with a soft top and worrying about clearance issues is not the same as driving an hard top vehicle with kayak racks or a rooftop carrier. With those, you know and hopefully remember you have clearance issues. In the Gladiator soft top, with the top down and clear sky above you it could be more easy to forget that hanging out somewhere aft of the rear seat rows is a man bun with a vengeance.
To all the soft top owners who park in garages, watch out for the angry man bun. Don't let him take out your garage door and laugh about how he is unharmed.

Friend of mine cleaned two expensive road bikes off his Volvo years ago,, at a fast food drive through. Yakima actually made a magnetic flip up sign that said" load on top" , and when driving wind would lay it down, he used it everytime after that. Only problem is it won't work on aluminum hoods!

Yakima had a warning sign that would get you to check heights.

It was up out of the way when travelling at any speed.

Stopped, or going very slow it would drop down and warn you.

I've looked....haven't found it. Sorry.

Man , you must have had just almost enough clearance to just catch the latches . Bummer

I installed a high lift garage door specifically to avoid any issues with my LX570 on 34s. JT should have no issue now

Not with the JT yet, but with my WK I definitely forgot that a lift makes things taller. Didn’t put 2+2 together very well, tried to roll into the garage like normal with kayak racks on. Whoops… hurt the Jeep much more than the door frame for sure.
