Hola', Just trying to get an idea of the weight of each so I can figure out what I need to hang them from the garage ceiling (joists). The walls are a no go due to other "stuff". It would suck if'n the middle of the night they defied gravity. Not only damaged by "deacceleration" but bullet holes too. My thoughts are the fronts are a bit heavier than the backs. This way I can mount them paired by sides and not front/front, back/back, Thanks in advance.

They're very light compared to the JK doors. I hang them at the hinges with eye bolts, lol
Can you post a couple pics of this?

If you keep reading, it indicates that those are weights for JK, not JL…
My bad. Went too fast. Supposed to be 20%ish less. Front doors are closer to 50lbs, for example.

Shoot. JK doors are 70lbs? I thought I was just getting old and couldn‘t lift as much. The Mojave doors will be a breeze!

If I had to guess, I would say they are less than 50 lbs each (fronts). Just remember to roll the window down before you disconnect the wires (somehow I always forget).

I got a plastic dry wall carry handle from Lowes and it makes it really easy to carry and line up the hinge pins when you put them back on.

Curious to know this too, since the doors are aluminum now.

I read that the front JL is around 48lb...

I did this once last year and the first time I took them off this year. Hopefully I wont forget again.

I'd drill holes into the ceiling joists just a bit smaller than the roots of 3/8" eyebolts, then screw them in. Two per door would work great, and be kind of "overkill" for strength. You can use heavy baling wire from hinges, etc. to the eyebolts. I hammer in nails to ensure that I find the center of the joist if there is wallboard on the ceiling.
