I went from my DD 2018 RAM 1500 reg cab, short bed, 2wd, 3.6/auto PLUS my "Toy" 2019 Challenger R/T Shaker. I "kinda" miss the Challenger but my knees don't. Every day, every time I drive my 2020 Gladiator Overland Gator colored new DD I smile. The steering was off and the new steering box fixed it perfectly. It drives exactly like my RAM did. Now........Zero issues.........Zero regrets.

It has a 2.7 ecoboost with a 10 speed transmission. That’s what it is rated for.

If you concerned with interior room ... stick with the 150.... the JT is still a mid size. If you want cool factor, dump the 150 and buy the JT. I've had zero problems with mine.
Thats one of my other big concerns. Have 2 (70)lb large breed dogs and wife is talking about a baby in near future as well. My f150 cab is so spacious and could easily keep the 40% down for car seat and the dogs on the other side with the seat bottom up. In the JT, Id for sure be removing the 60% seat altogether.

Wow didnt realize my 3.5 was that much higher. But then again, I also have the max tow package.

Started driving in 2011 with my dads midsize 2005 Chevy Colorado. Nice little truck with a 5 cylinder. Traded it for a new 2015 Silverado 1500. Great truck, enough power, good looks. Traded that for the Gladiator Sport S. I'm in love with it. It's got a utilitarian cool factor, can go anywhere, cozy cab. I'm a small guy and the Silverado was almost too roomy. Had to reach for climate/radio controls. The Gladiator has everything in reach for me. Power is adequate. It's just a fun truck.

Train Man, you ever drive on gravel? I've been warned those tires throw rocks at your paint. Plenty of chips on my door hinges b4 I got side steps with regulars.

Yes, they love stones. I have Rokblokz flaps in my garage waiting to be installed with steps on order.

We knew we wanted a Jeep. We knew we needed a truck. It fits our life size wise so it was a no brainer. We only have 1 kid and 1 dog, so we don't have the rear space issues. The bed is just the right size. It works for us. It won't work for everyone.

so my F150 has a max tow capacity of 7600 pounds. As fast as that goes it will do the same. I guess my concern is the back seat. I have a 9 year old and a 12 year old along with a 50lb dog and we go camping a lot.
I'm never going to tell someone to go spend as much money as a Gladiator costs, the price of a new truck is ridiculous these days.

That being said, I'm picking up a Sport S Max Tow soon for the purpose of trips with my wife, my 16 and 13 year olds and my 2 50 lb dogs. I've been doing it in a JKU (4 door wrangler) and could fit them all into that. The back seat of the Gladiator is bigger than the JKU so works for me.

I'd ask the dealer if you can borrow one for longer than a quick drive, see if you can drive one for an afternoon and take a short road trip with the kids. (I got a softopper for my bed so I can keep the dogs covered when driving around.)

Went from GMC sierra crew cab to JT, don't regret it at all. Love the JT and like having something smaller now.

Thanks guys this is exactly what I needed. I appreciate all of your input. This truck comes with everything I want except the 7 or 8 inch screen but looking around I can upgrade that myself. I’m now more excited than ever to pick it up Monday. I’ll post some photos when I get it.

My 2019 F150 had WAY more power, WAY more room, and could tow WAY more than the Gladiator. Best truck I’ve ever owned. But the Jeep is just plain more fun, and that’s why we got it.

My every day drive for 17 years was always F250s. No the Gladiator is not the same truck. Interior room is around half, 250 tows 14,000. The Gladiator is fun easy to park, better gas mileage and way more fun. I do not regret my purchase at all. 3 months 4800 miles no problems and a lot more fun. Today we are going driving on the beach, the F250 was 4X4 nut was to heavy if you spun a tire you were stuck.
