a hard top that has some sort of bushings in the pins on the freedom panels (they rattle)
Really? That's a new one. Have you tightened the bolts?

The rear shell is solid. The freedom panels tend to make a knocking sound when driving on gravel roads. On my previous Gladiator I put some black electrical tape on the white pins and it helped.

We have the current Gladiator that's a retro-style vehicle going back to the original MB Jeep, what about making the next generation another throwback to something a little different?

Jeep Gladiator Head of Jeep Brand NA is bullish on Gladiator future 1737687171424-el

Keep everything from the firewall back from the current Gladiator styling, it would keep costs down; just rework the hood, grill and front fenders to be a modern take on the J-10. You could even keep the current headlights. It's still keeping with the Jeep heritage, and it would look pretty badass.
As a bonus, they could bring back the diesel now that the engine compartment is larger, allowing for more air flow, a wider radiator, and hopefully eliminating the cooling issues.

As I recall the original Jeep truck had an optional beast of a V8.

2024 Mojave here….. (owned since March). We take the top off several times a season.

Every-time we take the hard top off, the bolts are extremely loose, you could remove them with your finger tips. When we install them, we tighten them up pretty good without being too tight (don’t want to crack the fiberglass).

We haven’t had any vibrations from it…. It’s something we’ve noticed every single time we take it off. Normal? Or should I be worried they’ll pop out completely?

YESssssss…. Gotta give us a 4 door option & of course, tops & doors off too.
I would soooo be into something like this!!!

And honestly….make it look ‘as close’ to this as possible or else don’t even bother doing it.

I hate it when they (any manufacturer), take a retro vehicle and put that ‘modern’ look to it. I haven’t seen an impressive ‘modern’ retro look yet.

I think Dodge did a good job with the Charger/Challenger.

Cherokee / Rampage isn't compact size?
The Cherokee and Rampage are compact, but the next midsized truck for Ram will be a true midsized truck.

If the truck was built off the same IFS and IRS as the Cherokee and Rampage, wouldn't that make the truck also a compact?
