Patiently waiting for my Sport S Max tow W/ SelecTrac to show up. Just curious how capable off road it would be with some 33s on it? I'm coming from a 2010 Tacoma Trd Sport.

I have 33s MT with 1.5" leveling kit. When it was fully stock with the 31" street tires it left my father-in-law's Tacoma Sport with stock size ATs at the bottom of the hill. He could not follow me. Not slamming Tacomas, it really was no comparison.I was just curious what it was capable of in stock form with larger tires. Mostly wondering about snow mud etc. But it sounds like whatever I was able to do in my Tacoma it will do better and much more.![]()
Not trying to derail the topic, but we don’t get a ton of snow here in TX, but I’m considering a family trip to Colorado over Christmas break and don’t know the first thing about driving in snow. I’ve got 33” A/Ts. would that even work? I’ve still got the stock 31” all season tires that I could switch back if necessary, but I’d rather just sell them ASAP.I have 33s MT with 1.5" leveling kit. I drove in a foot of snow 30+ miles no problem.
Don't bother with the stock All Season tires: they're crap in the snow. They're not even all that good in just wet.I’ve still got the stock 31” all season tires that I could switch back if necessary, but I’d rather just sell them ASAP.
They’re Mojave take-offs... Falken Wildpeak A/T 285/70R17.33 ATs will do good. You get traction in snow comes from packing snow in the grooves. It's not like a MT that "digs" through the mud. Most ATs advertise superior traction in snow. What brand?
