As the title says... I went to 19/20 psi and did not have a problem, but I have been wondering how far can I go without upgrading?

I know wheel & tire combo may need to be factored in but I don't want to go so low that I have a tire(s) come off.

Thanks in advance.

I’ve gone down to 14 on 37s, I don’t see any reason to go lower honestly so I’ve never tried it.

I usually do 15-18 psi. Wheels like teraflex and Method have enhanced bead grip or bead lock lip that supposedly allows you to go lower. I have the Teraflex Nomads.

I’ve got method bead grip rims. I’ve go to 10 psi, no problems. These are not bead locks, DOT approved

Was that on the OEM falcons? If so, I would love to see a pic of the amount of squish with that setup.

I am running the Nomad Convoy with BFG K02's - I do have this question out to Nomad but thought someone here would have some guidance.

Variables, variables, variables.
You can typically run a little less PSI with narrower rims than you can the same tire with wider rims.
"Poor man's beadlocks"

Then it's a matter of what kinds of trails and terrains are you in.
Sand and snow are probably fine a few pounds less, but rocks and off camber are going to bite you if you give them too much leeway.

I'm running BFG K02 35/12.5/17 on factory Mojave rims, and I don't want to go below 15 on our local trails, but I'm not crawling and subjecting the sidewalls to lateral forces.

Great points I did not consider especially when thinking of moderately rocky trails. I did slide off a rock or two during my recent trip to Arizona.

i just purchased a new set of 9 inch wide wheels and have been running my factory wheels with 295/70R17 tires at 16 off road, over small and large stones with no problems. Has anyone else had any issues running 295 or 34’s on a 9 inch at 16psi?
