2 days, driving 1000 miles home from the dealership, and then put on Launch Edition take-off rims that I still have 6 years later.

I wait till I lift it. Anytime I get a new vehicle it gets new wheels with the lift. If it doesn't get lifted, it doesn't get new wheels.

I'm at 6 years and one month. I bought my Rubicon in July 2019. Standard Rubicon wheels, btw.

I replaced mine after about a year……. Had the original tires mounted on them.
My original Mojave wheels are still for sale. 😉

Actually….. I never changed wheels on any vehicle I’ve ever owned until now.
It was a treat for me (Christmas gift to myself).

Thank you for the replies. I’m planning on keeping the stock 285/70/17 Faulkens until they wear out. It’s a lot easier to justify just changing the wheels and getting good use out of the stock tires, as they are a very good tire.

2 years so far, no plans to ever replace them for the next ten years.

Still sort of have mine on a 2021 with 70K miles. I have a Willys and needed new tires and found a hell of a deal on 4 Rubicon rims with Falkens with 10K miles on them for $400. They were a direct swap as the tires were already mounted. So still stock Gladiator rims. Just not the ones that came on mine. They will stay on until I get rid of it. Even if I get taller tires like 34s or 35s, I like skinny tires so they will fit no problem on the stock rims with no rubbing at all

50miles. The distance it took to drive home, load up new wheels and 35's, and drive to the tire shop for install.
took the words right out of my mouth. 52 miles to be precise for me.

My tires were the walmart special kenda klever A/T2 315/70r17s that a bunch of us on this forum picked up for 80.44/tire three+ years back. I owned those tires before i owned my (current) gladiator. I also bought Steel Wheels on sale as well for ~75/wheel prior to getting the truck.

I brought my gladiator home on a Thursday night and had an appointment at the tire place Friday morning. My wife was sooooo happy i was finally getting those tires out of my basement. They stunk it up bad.

mounting/balancing/tax/etc all-in i spent just under $1050 on my 5 wheels and tires. Sold my takeoffs w/o TPMS for $900. Upgrading to 35s for $150? I made out like a bandit.

Granted the guy who bought five 33s with 52 miles on them from me didn't do too badly either. Also he said he planned to keep the rims since they were never offered on the wrangler.

Hello all. I haven’t been on here long. I recently purchased a ‘25 Rubicon. Naturally, I want to upgrade a few things. Wheels are a definite at some point. That being said, I don’t think they look too bad. It seems everyone on this forum has upgraded wheels. My question is, how long did you guys have your trucks before spending money on wheels? And a side question, does anyone still use their stock Rubicon wheels?
I'm still running my original Falkens on my 23 JTR. 28,000 miles on em so far.

I agree. I kept the stock 285/70/17 Faulkens on our JL and added more-aggressive offset Quadratec Morphics and it looks great. I think you'll like the look.

Kept 'em for as long as I've had my Jeeps...........I spend my money elsewhere. Wheels are for looks, and the stockers look fine to me.

If it was a show truck, maybe. But it's a truck, it's a Jeep.

10 months for this Jeep. Eight months to decide what look I wanted to go with, and then the wheels being on backorder for two.

Gave the stock Firestones with 4800 miles on them to my niece to put on her Grand cherokee
