My original windshield lasted 45,000 miles. I got it changed in Tucson for $250 and wished I had done it sooner. It’s amazing how you don’t notice how much all the small chips reduce your visibility.
My factory GG lasted 1 year and 50 weeks. Replaced free with the GG warranty by 2 weeks. For me it's not just luck as I swerve out of the way of stones when I see them headed for the windshield.
My OEM windshield (standard) lasted to about 800 miles on the odometer and 3 weeks from new. The guy that did the replacement said it looked like that was the second windshield - must have been damaged in shipping to the dealer or something like that. I got an off-brand replacement, which now has about 9000 miles on it with no chips in spite of some big hits. I don't think I'll ever go with Mopar glass again.
I'm on my third one now in 2 1/2 years and 29,000 miles but it is broken in the top passenger side corner. This one was actually broken during our last hail storm 3 or 4 thousand miles ago but the cracks aren't near my line of sight so I haven't replaced it yet. I've been buying the non oem glass and they are around $290 installed.
2021 purchased new in 22, windshield (Gorilla glass) lasted just over one year, out of warranty??? Jeep eventually covered it. There was no sign of impact and the crack started and traveled in the same area reported by others.
I discovered a small crack in mine while scrubbing bugs. It runs from the lower right side in a loop under the little Jeep then down to the bottom of the glass. It ain't getting' fixed. I'm hoping it stress relieved the windshield and it won't crack again unless it gets hit by something major.
About a year. My insurance covered replacing it with gorilla glass (minus deductible) which then cracked 2 weeks later. Replaced for free under the 2 year warranty.
