No and yes. A 37” spare fits fine. Snug, but fine. And with it inflated.
The true 34,something inch (almost 35) I have, only fit by pulling some of the tire holder. Bigger and I would have to mess with the shield or have it not inflated fully, or force it. I don't want my tire touching or rubbing the shield (not sure what to call it? red circle), as I have a wax under body conservation done. I dont know if you can force it. 37 I cannot imagine without bending or messing with the shield. Just my experience.

Others here have put "37's" under as a spare so it works but likely depends on the tire. No mention of shield issues.

My 2020 went from November 14th 2019 to July 2022 and went 27,000 miles with no engine or driveline issues. The only "issues" were minor and resolved pretty quickly- saggy tonneau cover (Jeep replaced it), and some of the interior trim let loose in the back (instead of simply gluing it back in place like I would have done, they replaced all of the rear trim inside)
The battery issues were mostly age and the fact that although it was my D-D, I'm retired so it may sit for 2, 3 or even 4 days untouched. Once in a while it would go 4 or 5 days untouched and I resolved the thing mostly by independently charging each battery with a proper charger - and resetting the IBS. When I traded it in this July, it was literally issue-free. Other than gas, tires and so on, I paid nothing for repairs or maintenance in that time.

My 2022 is doing great except for the rare and really weird/odd misfire under very specific conditions. I expect Jeep is coming up with the solution as I type.
We drove it starting in St. Augustine, FL at 2:30pm Sunday until we stopped for a 4 hour nap at a rest stop at midnight that night, then at 4am, continued on and made it home by 2:30 pm Monday a week ago. It was quiet and smooth the whole way but man, you don't want to count on these things for naps in the cab unless you are small and short and can sleep anywhere.

I have 37x12.5xR17 Mickey Thomson Baja Boss A/T’s. They measure 36.5” at 36psi, but 36” under the weight of my JT. They touch the driver side shield and passenger side frame rail, but that doesn’t hurt a thing. No modifications or removal of the shield was necessary at all.

Ok, good to know, seems tight on mine, and again I don't want to get wax and fat all over my spare. I guess next year when I go to 37s I will just remove or bend the shield, so it doesn't come in contact

Your dealership didn't offer a loaner with repairs?

Reliable in the sense that it has never left me stranded? Yes. Problem free? No.

Issues over the first 14K miles:
  • Leaking DEF injector (Fixed)
  • Bottoming out TSB (Fixed)
  • Squeaking Exhaust Actuator (Will be fixed this week)
  • MPG Cluster Glitch where current MPG disappears intermittently (Unresolved)
  • Bubbling paint on my driver door hinge (no paint chips) (Unresolved - dealer needs body shop, I was told they got rid of the last one because they sucked)
