OK, this is my first dumb question and probably won't be my last! I want to add some hot shot diesel treatment and can't get my funnel past the filler neck flap. I have tried to open it up with my fingers and very gingerly using a screwdriver as I don't want to damage anything. It has got to be easier than this, right?? Do I have to buy a special exact size funnel (same as the fuel pump) or something for this? Do I have to open the flap at all, will the additive just flow past it????

I didn't get any funnel with my Gladiator. I managed to get it open using my funnel to depress the bottom and side parts of the flap edges and using a screwdriver to depress the other side of the flap edge while pushing the funnel in.
It has got to be easier than this........kind of ridiculous for it to be like this.

They do come with a funnel. Check behind the rear seat as well.

Well, crap...........I found the funnel, it was in the bottom of the center console covered by stuff! I kept looking under and behind the rear seats as well as looking in the glove box and center console. I just never saw it at the bottom before just now with you saying "they do come with a funnel".
So, I guess the problem is solved! Thanks guys!

I keep mine in the little zip lock bag so that it doesn’t smell after using it.

Make sure the flap door does not scrape off any plastic off into the tank.

Get under there, remove the filler neck and hose, manually remove the stupid shite, reassemble, now you are normal again.

Yeah only pouring 150-200ml it takes about 5-7 seconds. No spills. Not to mention no stinky funnel in your jeep.

I bought a piece of 1" stainless tubing and cut the middle at a 45 degree angle. That made me 2 funnels. One I keep in the Jeep and 1 I keep in the garage. They won't scrape off into the tank and I can clean them off with brake clean if need be. I even put on a SS hose clamp so I didn't end up losing it in the tank.

Ok wait, y’all are using funnels..? I just pour my hotshots right in through the mouth, I figured it just gets past the flap. I’ve never seen it spill anywhere?
