HPFP recall info check

My recall says just like everyone posted. From the sound of it they can “inspect” it and deem it ok and that would be it. Am I the only one that sees this drafted as a get outta jail free card?
For good measure I rarely let my tank go below 1/4, also add an ounce or two of hotshots lx4 and edt too most tanks

FCA US will conduct a voluntary safety recall on all affected vehicles to replace the HPFP, and inspect and, if necessary, replace additional fuel system components.

replace the pump, inspect the fuel system and repair as necessary

I just called my dealer since I can leave the truck with them for a week later this month - they say no parts are available and tried looking up the recall campaign and my VIN.

So every diesel has this issue or they will check and say it doesn't have the issue and you move on?

I was thinking of changing my truck at some point but if this issue continues I am guessing ppl or carmax are going to offer pennies for my truck.

guess I should pray for a fix and just keep the truck

Mine is showing parts available too. Just posted today, so fairly new information.
I'm getting my last free oil change this week so will be interesting to see what the service department has to say.

They will replace the pump regardless, but only replacing other related fuel system as needed.

Lol yup. Parts manager at my dealer stated they will be on tight supply of 1 per week per dealer…

I’m on the list, which is great because my fuel filter has metal in it right now….

I’m putting the jeep in storage today, and asking for a loner.
