I accidentally Installed a rear shock in the front on my JT and now the upper mount is crushed and the correct shock wont go in. Help

Any Ideas on how to un-crush the shock mount. I tried wedging a 2x4 and some steel wedges but it didn't really work.

Get a long bolt with threads the whole way, couple washers and two nuts, largest bolt you can fit in the hole , put bolt in and thread the two washers and nuts on where the shock bushing would be , then turn the nuts towards outside against each other….Jack

Here is a pic. I didn't get to try it today. i have to Shorten the bolt and I just wasn't in the mood.

Gets 2 nuts and washers that fits your stock shock bolt and use it like below.

Hold the bolt head while turning the nut to stretch it back out.

Good luck, and take it slow. As you're trying to fix it, remember: if it doesn't feel good, back it off and take a 5 minute breather to clear your head. These types of situations tend to create frustration, which leads to forcing, which leads to making the problem worse.
