I see your point friend, I realize the Frontier Pro X 4 gives the same milage, my other choice in the Carvana shopping cart, on average 19 MPG on the sticker. But the jeep will be a better investment when I move it to Panama in a few years. I can break it down and gas is only $2.19 a gallon down there. I've gotten so board of Nissan, that's why I'm here!

Does carmax let you try out the vehicle before you commit to buying?

In case you didn't know there are some big discounts on brand new gladiators right now.

7 days and if you complain, some extra days. Why the discounts on Glad,s?

Cool, good to know. And if you really want less weight and don't care about off road right now could find some light weight 17 wheels and then the tires should even be cheaper

A lightweight what? Oh tires, wait. You bought an underpowered brick and are concerned on fuel economy?
hey don’t troll! Unsprung weight is the worst performance robber of all! I do very little off road, so I kept my stock 17” alloy, at a reasonable 26lbs each and stock 245/75-17 Bridgestone Dualer HT tires at a light 42 lbs. Considering bigger 35” tires on 20” mall crawlers can be at least 40lbs more each. That’s almost 200 extra lbs of gross weight with spare, 160 extra in unsprung weight! A highway trip just today at 70 mph round trip driving smooth got me an average of 22.6 mpg. As far as performance on road I’m willing to bet the difference from 0-60 would be at least 2 sec less with 31.6” tires like mine, than 35”. With the difference off road only in mud being a hindrance with smaller size tires.

How’s the diesel down in Panama? My JTOD stock saw 28-30mpg all day long. Even with 4.5” lift and 37” tires I’m still around 22.5 mpg. Just thinking out loud

I don’t know anything about that brand, but I will say that tire weight makes a way bigger difference in handling/drive ability than I thought. Just changed out of an expensive mistake!

Nice, the holy grail! The fuel costs are good down there as long as the Canal remains unmolested.

I ran a set of Westlake tires "SL369" 31/10.5r15 AT's on my Wrangler. It started during the time Walmart stopped keeping in-stock Wrangler 31/10.5r15. that along with driving 107-125 mile drive to and from work. Not a real change in mpgs or anything along that but good for road tread life and fair price point. "Was working 5-7 days a weeks shortage manpower" Had fairly good handling wet roads from rain and light snow (a few inches) nothing deep that I recall.
