There are other programmers out there (ie: JScan) that are not as finicky as the Tazer has been; that also doesn't need to be kept plugged in to the OBD Port.

You would be surprised how far away that remote can reach. I've been able make my Jeep beep from about a block away, and even inside a large shopping center. Next time you're out and about, try it. I'm always surprised how far away I can make it beep.

Two weekends ago I was on New Smyrna beach and decided to take a swim in the ocean with my keys in my pocket and haven't had an issue yet. But I also have the MyThreedom keyfob. Not sure if it's better or worse at keeping water out.

Tazer doesn't have to be kept plugged in after changing tire size.

I believe when I last looked at the Ford app for my F150, it had an option for "Scheduled Starts". As in, I leave for work everyday at 7:00, so schedule my truck to start at 6:50 to warm it up.

Sirius Guardian have anything like that?

Yup.
I used to remote start mine during the winter from inside my old work condo several hundred feet and half a dozen other condo units away.

Last night, in the middle of the night - the Gladiator honks twice and remote starts up. Is anyone else experiencing similar?!?! No FOBs in play, no close neighbors (rural area), no intruders - no nothing. It just remote starts up by itself. I have noticed the last week that I'll occasionally hear a single "honk" from the garage, but last night was disconcerting.

I've had the Rubicon over a year and never had this problem until :

- I got a lift and 35's and had them put a mini taser in.
- I ran ONE of my FOBs thru the wash. But I cleaned it thoroughly with 99% alcohol, REPLACED the battery, and it has been working "as expected".

I'm not sure if either of these incidents has anything to do with the random honks / starting. Anyone else experienced issues like this? Or do I just have a ghost in the house?


Oh - and a couple of questions:

- If remote started - how long will the gladiator "run" without the human "start process". I'm worried that if I'm not at home it will just run and run....
- Is there a way to disable "remote start"?

I tested it shortly after we bought it. Across the Walmart parking lot, almost 100yds.
