Bump (while on the stand) I’ve been eyeing that whinch for a while, mostly thinking about weight, and I find I don’t often need to pull in more than 25-50 feet on average recovery.

Still waiting on winch plate, but figured out the controller location for install and also eliminating the whole hot wire to winch thing. Might put a fuse in yet but my hot to controller will be on the battery about ten inches long, will be adding three longer motor lead wires to feed winch, also going to hook up a winch control plug in cab so under hood or in cab control. This is probably possible because of the Mojave high hood, easy clears bottom of hood by a lot, and struts miss by an inch! Gett’n closer!…..Jack

Excited to see how this goes! I'm in the middle of researching winch and bumper options for my Mojave. I was/am somewhat concerned about sacrificing the ride quality with the added weight - but less so now after seeing folks on this forum running typical winch/bumper setups on their JTMs and reporting no negative impact on the ride. Regardless, this is an interesting option. Good luck on your install!

Winch plate came a couple days ago going to try to do it next week, weekends are busy as they should be! I’ll post pictures when doing it, looking over everything it should be nice…..Jack

Here we go! It will work, this weekend should have it mounted, the LOD winch plate had a interference with the Curt hitch mount, required flipping the carriage bolt around retightening, and grinding the head of carriage bolt a tiny bit, putting the winch plate on required cutting a thin small slot on driver side of frame bracket, but with the steel braces I am adding along with a steel angle across the front for the fair head no worries, putting the LOD frame strengthening brackets on required trimming the brackets, but they are much heavier and braced better for side forces, if doing it again might not use them but they were a good price and I like them. Hauser will fit with minimal removal of bumper plastic section, steel section that is part of the bumper can stay or might take out as using a 1/4” angle across front. Love the damn expensive Warn winch, did get a good price on it though. Enjoy the pictures I’ ll put something together afterwards!…..Jack

More pics, planning on using 1.5” steel round stock to support hauser. Winch has a narrow drum so hauser has a very narrow slot. Very trial run of putting bumper over the temporary frame bolts and winch shows, yup gonna work!….I hope!…..jack

Nice, I was surprised when I replaced the winch cable on my short drum Mile Marker with synthetic line. The winch held a full length synthetic line without a problem "85-100" ft line. I should have done a stealth mount winch with OEM bumper. Would save many lbs. heck the bumper on mine is for a JK actually.

We’ll it looks like I didn’t get much done the 95 degree heat doesn’t help or friends and family stopping by.
The news is it wil work! I always take the difficult route, putting it on with a front receiver took some effort, the heavier side brackets limited my spacer I could use, but I trimmed the metal brace of bumper took minimal plastic out of structure so far the hauser will be tomorrows job have to cut a slot and two holes in plastic, looks like I’ll be able to reinstall the little bumper to frame trim piece, just have to make clutch accessible.
Honestly it has been a lot of work, and there a few times I questioned my sanity, but so far no cut fingers. Moving the clutch handle to the rear was easy ,just remove all the bolts and spin it and reinstall but do not pull it off, just spin it and Be happy…..Jack

Finally, pushed through today enough to tow the camper tomorrow! Very tired of working on it, there are always the little things that make you go back and figure it out different, like the 1/4” spacers I put between the frame and the winch plate for more room, well with the 1/4” winch plate, 1/4” fairlead support I fabbed up and 1/4” spacer, I was not thrilled with thread engagement on the upper bolts of tow hook, took it off removed the frame spacers and have threads showing good. Very proud of it looks stealthy total weight minus the 5.5 pounds of metal and plastic removed came out to 78.5 pounds , I was trying to be under 100 but smoked it! I did cut off the warn tow hook to prepare for the factor 55 , but am now concerned the Warn winch eye which does not fit through hauser will screw up the flatlink working.
Even got to put the air dam/ trim strip back in partially. Can not close the hood with winch cable plugged in, but have a remote connecter coming and might put inside on drivers side. It would have been easier to just buy a heavy metal bumper but After all the work and sweating I’m happy….Jack

Not the OP, but my setup added 93 lbs to the front end (about 15 more than OP) and it measures 3/8 lower than before. Definitely not a noticeable amount.
