I'm not encouraging anyone to cheat the system, but there are plenty of EcoDiesel owners that falsify the paperwork to get them into the tune sooner.

Just for the record, all three of my EcoDiesels are factory. I have the EPA Compliant Tune on the 2015 and will be switching to the GDE Afterlife tune by the end of the year. Just by years alone, my 2015 now qualifies for the Afterlife tune. I've got a long way to go for the 2020 and 2023.
GDE is now doing delete tunes?

or should i say "again"

The EPA's definition of "full useful life" is 10 years or 120,000 miles for the Gen 2 EcoDiesel. The Gen 3 EcoDiesel is 10 years or 150,000 miles. GDE offers a delete tune (AfterLife Tune) for those vehicles.

Now that my 2015 is 10+ years old, I qualify for the AfterLife Tune.

I don’t know what an “Afterlife Tune” is. Can you point me in the right direction. I live in California and I don’t know how that affects me. I’m at 153k right now. 2021 JTDR.

I can tell you right now that the GDE AfterLife Tune is the best delete tune for the EcoDiesel. It's not even up for debate.
wondering what information you have seen to determine GDE is a superior tune over MR. Have you seen both remapping to determine this or something else? Genuinely curious since both tunes claim to be more efficient better power, reliability etc. Thanks

Keith is a software diesel calibration engineer. He's worked for Caterpillar and FCA. Those who have vast knowledge of tuning will choose GDE every single time. He has the knowledge, skill level, and understanding of the engine and the components within the engine. He is tuning for efficiency and longevity while staying within the manufacturer's safety parameters. The highest mileage engine (605,000 miles) is GDE tuned.

Other tuners try to copy a lot of what GDE does. For example, EOC/MRT used to delete the swirl valves, but they learned from GDE that deleting swirl valves negatively impacted engine performance and fuel economy.

I'm not knocking EOC/MRT, but they are not in the same league. GDE knows how these engines work inside and out. He has also done the most extensive testing and has access to software equipment that others don't have.

I would encourage you to call GDE and ask your questions. They will give you detailed information regarding tuning differences. In general, EOC/MRT take shortcuts to get power. For example, their tune advances combustion at various operating conditions. GDE won't due this because it puts stress on the main bearings.
