That doesn’t disconnect the auto/stop.Just disconnect the negative cable on top of the main battery that leads to the aux battery and remove fuse 42.

Yes it does. It 100% does. Mine went from being functional to no longer being functional after I made the changes. That doesn’t disconnect the auto/stop.
Here's the response if they say ANYTHING unrelated to an electrical issue:I bought a disable harness, im waiting for warmer weather to install it.
Do the dealers like finding them under the dash?
It doesn't. If disconnecting your aux battery disabled your's, it's probably because the system doesn't think your main battery is up to the task. ESS still works with just the main battery.Yes it does. It 100% does. Mine went from being functional to no longer being functional after I made the changes.
If you would go to the ESS page you most likely would see the reason why your ESS didn't work.Yes it does. It 100% does. Mine went from being functional to no longer being functional after I made the changes.
What?! Where!?My heated seats and steering wheel come on automatically under 40 degrees. There’s a setting for it.
I just set my temp controller to a temp that’s unattainable if the engine is allowed to continue start/stop, that In effect cancels the system all the time, unless the temp reaches what you set. Says so right in the owners manual. Sound to me like your wife should be in control of the finances. My wife and went for a Saturday drive, about 6 or 7 hours worth. First time I've taken my Freedom out for an extended run since I took ownership last November/December.
Every time we stopped at a light, the Auto Stop would shut the engine down. I'd say, "I HATE this crap !!" and hit the bypass button. Only to do it again when I restart the vehicle with me bitching about it.
After a bit, she calmly says, "Let me get this straight. You hit a button on your remote to start the Jeep. You hit a button on the remote to unlock the Jeep. You get inside and hit a button on the dash to be able to drive the Jeep. You hit several buttons to get to your favorite radio station. But hitting just ONE MORE button to disable the Auto Stop is "too much" ?!?! THAT'S the straw that broke the camels back ??. You do know that makes no sense, right ?? Do all the button pushing to get going, and when you put it in gear, hit the Auto Stop kill button. Where's the issue ??".
I said "If you're going to come at me with irrefutable logic, well, there's no talking to you.".

In the radio settings, iirc under Comfort and Convenience but I could be wrong. The Tazer also allows to enable the passenger heater too. What?! Where!?
Thats just stupid. I wouldnt even pay a penny for that. There are tons of ways to disable it for free or with a device that you pay once for. Paying a monthly fee to have it disabled is just idiotic.Show of hands please, how many of us would pay for a subscription to have the ESS disabled? Would you do it if it was a small nominal fee added to what we already pay?
(Stellantis, you can send me a royalty cheque each year for that one)
She is. 100% and I freely admit that without concern. And I don't feel like that's a ding on my Man Card in the slightest. I'm retired bringing in zero dollars until I start collecting Social Security. She retired from oil and gas after 38 years (accounting...so she's good at managing our money) and she got a fat pension, 401k, etc., invested it well during her tenure, AND went and got another job (she's only 57, didn't want to retire) with another pension, 401k, etc.... She told me to retire, she was tired of me working days and nights for chump change with no bennies. I am 100% healthy and she wanted me to be that way for when SHE decides to retire so we can do things. Like I said in my first post, it's hard to deny her logic.I just set my temp controller to a temp that’s unattainable if the engine is allowed to continue start/stop, that In effect cancels the system all the time, unless the temp reaches what you set.
