So it bobs a Wrangler JL, does not show a completed project to give perspective and gives you a generic recommendation of sourcing a "6' Ford Ranger Bed" or have a flat bed customed fabricated.

Has all the downsides of the Wrangler JL lower tow and cargo capacity and none of the pluses of a true truck frame and rear suspension. Then you get into the questions of rollover and crash safety of the now chopped up cab?

Hard pass.

There is a picture of a completed vehicle in the registration link. It's pretty bad IMHO. I would think this mod would kill any chance of a resale. Just buy a small teardrop trailer.
