The other bigger reason is the fact the switches are not current carrying switches and only tell the BCM what to do based on how they are configured.I agree. Whether you have a factory installed aux. switches or added later, they will both have relays. Wouldn’t be advisable to run 40
amps through a switch, that’s why they both have em.
They are configured in the radio settings screen. They COULD install switches for carrying a load, but then - you'd not have any configurability at all. They'd be on or off, period.
